have you seen that new remake of the first series? I couldn't believe how ridiculously strange it was. Within the first 10 seconds it was like "hey, we're best friends now because reasons." and I'm like "NO...." in the shows they took so long to build up close friendships and they slowly got revealed their "special powers" like courage and love and whatever. the typical hero qualities. and in the new series its like "hey I got a computer, lets be best friends."

It exaplains it in the episode, they ask "what does momentai mean?" and they explain how it means to take it easy, relax, don't worry about it. Don't think a chinese lesson is necessary in the episode. There's tons of sayings in other languages that people use without knowing the exact meaning of. I used the german word "klutz" around germans before and they were surprised it was a common word in English. deja vu, voila, tons of languages have sayings and words in other languages. regardless if you know their origins or not doesn't require a lesson. So, ya know, 無問題

That's true. I meant more the pronunciation. But you're right there is an explanation. I've always wondered if they explain it in the original dub - I feel like this lands very differently with Japanese audiences than it does with Americans. I'm not even sure if there's even any explicit reference to the fact that Henry is Chinese in the English dub or if it's just implied.

@@SomeRandomGuy12x Well in the English dub his name is Henry Wong, in regards to his Chinese-ness. In the original Japanese, the same explanation is given as in the English dub, the only difference being that they say it's Cantonese.
