@@MelissaBoccabella I don't think it sounded weird at all. Personally if I was being grilled for hours and I was logical enough to assess someone's character I'd say the same thing. People not understanding these things is why trial by jury leaves me with very little confidence anymore. People are too used to TV narratives and don't understand people "act guilty" all the time when they're actually not. This is a dangerous mindset to hold as we don't want to punish people unless we know 1000% they did something. Otherwise the system is a sham.

I worked for a longtime family friend couple right after I finished high school who came to ask my parents if they could hire me, and the husband had always treated me like I was older and I had always enjoyed that. They had told my parents I could live with them since it was a summer holiday town, a couple of communities over, and it was hopping. I moved in and the husband began trying to kiss me at work and to talk about us running away together to Hawaii, and in between asking me if I was dumb. One night he climbed into bed with me in the basement when his young adult daughter was in the next room, and it was the next day that she told me he had climbed into bed and had sex with her when she was thirteen and that was why she had suddenly had a huge weight gain and developed an immune disorder. She ended up in children's hospital for three months. His son never came home any longer and they had always hung out together, fixing vehicles and drinking beer, but his wife wouldn't leave him because a divorce would mean no longer being able to take part in Communion. @@madelynk7423 I remember what a huge turn her life took when she gained so much weight and developed that immune disorder, and I had no idea why at the time. She still had a big smile. People used to say teen weight gain in girls was puppy fat, but I know at least one other girl who suddenly gained weight like that as a very early teen after her uncle SA'd her. Then she got extremely skinny. I am sorry this happened to you and that a great harm was caused. I think there should be compensation. I hope that life has been better to you since, and that you are doing much better now.

@@kenfryer2090 you're leaving out the power differential inherent between a teacher and a student. Yes, there is some power differential between a 15 year old and a 21 year old--but a 21 year old who is not the 15 year old's teacher cannot affect the 15 year old's future (such as college applications, etc) the same way they could if they were also their teacher. The power differential thing is why it is illegal in every state for a 35 year old psychiatrist to proposition their 55 year old patient. It has nothing to do with age and everything to do with the vulnerability and inherent power differential between a medical professional and their patients.

Confessing this traumatic moment. In year 3. I was 9! 9 and had a new teacher as my homegroup teacher. It was a man. Im a girl. I was 9 and one of the best students. Sometimes he would make me stay back for extra advanced classes. One day he made me stay back, my friend was waiting for me outside until i was finished with my advanced lessons and he started patting my head making me uncomfortable. Now im a person that doesnt like admiting things in general like pointing something out, telling something to someone, if something bad happened and i witnessed it i cant say anything because i fear ill be the victim of karma in the future. When i got out for recess after my extra lessons my friend asked me if i was okay because i was acting weirdly. I told her i dont like our teacher and that he's creepy. She told the principal about what he did and they gave him a warning to not do it again or he will be fired since he's new. The next year, i made a friend. She was a year younger than me in year 3 (i was in year 4 now) and had the ssme teacher as me. She said her friend was uncomfortable with what he did because he started caressing her neck saying she looks beautiful in a weird way. I told her to tell the principal and she did. The next week he was fired.

@@antihype6976he wasn’t saying what she did wasn’t bad. He was stating that that arrest video doesn’t really fit under the subtitle of “evil teachers getting arrested” It didn’t have anything to do with the fact that she was a teacher while the other segments were based entirely off them abusing their teaching position. The last two clips are only there to extend the runtime. Hell, they could’ve replaced the last two videos with the two teachers that were drunk at school and it would’ve fit better and make the video a little longer.

Nice Wikipedia research on Allison’s DUI 🙄 Consuming “any amount of alcohol” is not automatically a DUI, as most states have a legal BAC limit ranging from .08-.1 (with a few exceptions). Also why did you put her next to child molesters and call her evil? I found it jarring going from actual monsters to a reckless idiot. I was half expecting the next “evil” teacher to be a bubblegum thief.

I love seeing different interrogators strategies. You can see how they both slowly press in and close in on the first guy. They got extremely close and closed off his free space and stressed him out. In counter to the very beginning when they gave him a bunch of space and open access to the door, allowing him to feel comfortable and hopefully free ways of speaking. When that wasn’t working they closed in on him till he nearly broke.
@hammersbaseball11
@hammersbaseball11 4 ай бұрын
That first interrogation was great. I thought they came off a bit standoff-ish at first, was wondering if that'd keep the guy from talking and be a bad thing. But then he had the walkthrough of why the guy know about her sling. Cold as ice and had the guy shook. Was very well played by them definitely.

I have family in education who have had false allegations reported against them. Innocent people don't act like that. They know they have cameras watching, they don't entertain the idea that they engaged in inappropriate behavior because they have proof they didn't. Having one allegation against you alone warrants total investigation, but having several kids come forward across multiple classes, grades, and friend groups is a major tell that something definitely is going on.

I'm a substitute teacher in a small rural school. We max out at 25 kids per grade. The whole town knows each other and it's an incredibly safe community as a whole. Regardless, we have cameras all over the place and it's a fireable offense to close your classroom door with only 1 student in the room with you. Personally, I always make sure there's at least 3 students total. On the rare occasion they want to tell me something personal (usually ratting on their desk buddy with their phone or something trivial) without 2 friends, I take the student to the hallway where there's half a dozen cameras on us and people are always walking around freely. I think those kids are awesome, but I also respect their safety (and mine).

I ran into another classroom when I was somewhere between eight and ten, to see the band instruments as the older students (11 to 13) had just returned from a band trip and I waited for my dad, also a teacher, to go home together, and my mum when she was subbing, sometimes assisting him or the janitor, reading, or enjoying the school and playground. The classroom was dark, but the teacher and a number of girls were at the other end of the classroom near a corner, sitting on and leaning against some shelving, learning to French Kiss with the teacher, and I immediately thought I had done something wrong because I never touched anything unless I was asked to get something the teachers shared between classrooms, but I hadn't thought I shouldn't go in prior, I hadn't known they were there, and I turned on the one set of lights nearest me and pretended I hadn't noticed anything, pretended to be interested in the instruments for some seconds, and then ran out while they continued to giggle and he continued to kiss another one of them, and they giggled and laughed nervously when I ran out, switching the light off behind me. I was very embarrassed. There were five girls there and I saw him kiss two of them but never said anything until I was well into adulthood. He also had love letters in his desk to an eleven-year-old before that. He borrowed my dad's stapler, and I was sent to retrieve it. He had already gone home. He moved to the high school with some of these students and had a reputation. They thought he was hot. I couldn't weight lift at lunch because one of the sick beds was in there. He moved to Oz to teach for a year after his wife found out and when he came back, he made it clear he wanted to be taken seriously as a teacher and this was over, he taught a class on love (the different types of love) and sex ed. and stated that he would never cheat on his wife, and none of us said anything. @@itz.sorengacha He was a young teacher when he started, early twenties, but there was no way my dad would ever behave like that. My dad was an affectionate teacher, but always fatherly. I did enjoy this teacher's singing classes, he played the guitar, and the plays he put on, and he asked me to take the part of Mary in the Nativity for his class, since I was often borrowed by other teachers when they had a small part that still needed filling, or a reader. I still think life was so much nicer then. He didn't cause much harm. It is more a distraction for the rest of the class and upsets the equilibrium and focus. Good teachers who weren't like this, weren't afraid to provide extra support to students, like a female teacher I know who took disadvantaged students home for sleepovers by turns and boosted their lives very positively. My parents had so many students over and my mum babysat regularly for free. One older student moved in with us and stayed for five years, two after he graduated. I was regularly taken after school by a male special ed. teacher to gymnastics classes in another community, and the principal's eldest daughter taught them.

He should've been charged and locked up. We were in 7th grade, and he was prolly late 30s early 40s.

Whilst I understand the reasoning for deporting the second child abuser back to his country of origin after his prison sentence, to prevent him from victimising further kids in the US, one can only hope that he’ll be properly monitored once he’s actually back home, and the justice system there is sufficient to ensure that he doesn’t go right back to teaching - and abusing - even more children.

He’ll do whatever he needs to to get access to children. True. But, hear me out, maybe this officer knew exactly what he was doing. She was very coherent and cooperative, during the investigation, but i think he may have had a feeling he will get some good, incriminating, and embarrassing, footage if he pretends to let his guard down and make her feel "comfortable" with the situation. And she definitely delivered. In my opinion, getting her true-face-show of absolutely no remorse and taking this incident as a big joke, on video for the judge/DA (and a potential jury) to see, was genius. Besides, it'll prevent her lawyer from presenting her as a "poor, misunderstood, remorseful victim". That t-shirt comment will come back to bite her. Just like that dance. Just my two cents after seeing this. Admittedly, i don't always understand the current generation(s), and police procedures definitely have changed a LOT since the time of the flatfoot with a hardwood attitude-adjuster (and the time when "respect" was not just a buzzword for certain people to throw around when getting caught) Watching these videos make equally sad (for this AND the next generation LEOs) and glad to be a long retired, old fool. I can watch the world burn, from a distance, while reminiscing about and missing better times.

So sad. My daughter-in-law is a teacher and the schools now have very strict protocol when it comes to comforting small students. I was a sub teacher for many years in the 90s. Things have changed so much. Back then, it was nothing to hug a grade schooler if she scraped a knee or if he lost a pet the night before. Children need adults to be protectors and sources of comfort away from home… and it’s just no longer allowed. I feel sorriest for the kids and the good teachers who care for them.

Im 43, back in middle school through high school I was in classrooms with a teacher alone on many occasions, students had rifles on the back rack of their trucks, fist fights after school ended in a handshake with nothing really hurt but pride, and I can remember way back getting the paddle by my principle in grade school. Imagine a man hitting a child with a wooden paddle with holes in 2023- he would be hung but back in the day it was in most schools. I even made a paddle in wood shop, we all did and chased freshmen on the last day of school. We gave some kids hell but didnt like hurt anyone. Still, these days the same actions would get cops called, lives ruined, prison.. Thank God I grew up back then, before students had kids while in school, before shootings, before participation trophies, before kids started thinking they werent what they are, before all this madness

I understand what you're saying from an emotional point of view, but I disgree completely. Parents are their children's role models and comforters. No adult, no matter how well-meaning, who is not a trusted family member should ever be allowed to hug a child or touch them in any way. I am not down with this "it takes a village" commie nonsense. Kids need to look at teachers, pastors, police, whoever, as AUTHORITY figures, not secondary parents.

I'm sure that in the Teacher's Lounge there is probably a bottle or two stashed away. If she came to class drunk that is a different story, but I don't think that video belongs with the rest of them. The summary of events is cops get called on a drunk guy at a hotel, he gets arrested for trespassing and public intoxication / disorderly conduct. His mom shows up, drunk, makes an ass out of herself and gets herself kicked out too. The sister / daughter is in the hotel room, sober, taking care of her baby and is an angel throughout the video. The hotel is at first going to let her stay, since she's done nothing wrong but eventually the gm makes the call that everyone has to leave. The poor woman gets punished for her family's actions. And then the original thumbnail showed a picture of her with the words " he was underage?" on a video about women abusing children. The uploader eventually changed it, as people were vocally unsubscribing as a result. Insinuating an innocent mother is a child sex criminal is a very wrong thing to do to a person, and probably some illegal form of slander / libel.

As a teacher, I agree and disagree. It's cool for safety, but that's about it. As a teacher I feel like the "art" of teaching is being pushed out for more formulaic and robotic instruction that sees everything being black and white. The classroom is not black and white. Each student is a variable, each day is a variable. Unless in the case of safety it shouldn't be shown to parents, but be up for review at any moment for safety concerns. I feel like teaching is one of the few professions where people feel like they can walk into a professional space and tell that professional how to do their job. You don't see it with doctors, architects, chefs, etc, but they feel they can walk in and tell us how to do our job. The same parents that can't take a day of e learning and teaching their 2 kids think they can tell me how to teach 28. That's insane.

Fascinated by the investigative techniques in the first vid. The way they ask mundane questions to get the suspect turned around and extending his lies just a little bit so they collapse when further information is revealed. Then the way they slowly draw their chairs closer to him as they tighten the net, to give him a feeling of panic so he makes more mistakes. It's probably textbook stuff for investigators but it's really interesting.
