Miraculous Ladybug is a series full of fascinating and complex villains. The main antagonist, Gabriel Agreste, is no different. Gabriel begins the series as Hawk Moth, the wielder of the Butterfly Miraculous. His powers allow him to use anyone’s negative emotions against them, as he turns the innocent people of Paris into villains to do his bidding. Gabriel is willing to use anyone to meet his goals, including his son, who Gabriel neglects while prioritizing his role as Hawk Moth. Fans of Miraculous view Gabriel as a poor father, but there are a few moments in the series when he does the right thing for Adrien. In today’s video, we’re going over some moments when Gabriel remembers to be a parent and why it is beneficial to Adrien.

Don't forget this undirectly point: In Gorizilla he set Ladybug free to save him, though he doesn't know that. I hoped to see more good side of Gabriel especially around Adrien, but they really avoided to contact through the show. I always kept it so interesting to have something deeper between them

Yeah those were good moments, I wish Gabriel was a good parent all the time but nope just controlling as always. He even put him in a room with no escape in the episode Representation to keep him from wondering off, Tsurugi san did the same with Kagami. That isn’t parenting, it’s treating your children like prisoners and that they’re your puppets. Not spending time with your children and not letting them make their own decisions can really put stress on them. Not spending with them cause also lead them to go down the wrong path and run away from home. Adrien ran away when his father didn’t come, even tried to take his anger out by destroying the tree but had one of those epiphanies. The epiphany of when somebody asks “what would your mother think?”

Honestly. A lot of these don't sound like Gabriel doing the right thing at all and more like him doing whatever he wants that ends up incidentally benefiting Adrien in some way. Like. Would Gabriel agree to Adrien stopping with modeling if the 3d render wasn't available?
