Thanks for your support and encouragement Spence. I also reviewed the Aquamatic lV and loved it so much that I had to buy my own. Just as you said, it gets weekly wrist time over other watches also in, my over 30 watch collection. It truly is a great watch for a lot less money than others in the same category out there.

@@desire68frogman98 yup, they don't pretend to be something they're not, great designs, very functional and built to last and do what they are supposed to, with a bit of a smile at the same time, such as the big crowns and clever use of colour. If they make a Torpedo Blast with the Eclipse solar movement I think I would have found my ultimate do anything watch, for now the Steelix Eclipse is top of that list.

That’s a very hard question as I love all of my watches. I went through a stage where I was buying anything I “liked” Huge mistake as I ended up with a massive collection of mid tier watches. I sold a lot including some really great pieces which I’ll never own again. I mark that time as a great learning experience and now I try not to think of the many pieces that I’d love to still own and should have kept. Now, I only buy what I “love”. I like a lot of watches, but I don’t “love” them all. This has helped me to control my collection and I haven’t sold a watch since early last year. If you only buy what you love, you will make wiser choices and keep them all. There’s supposedly a new MRG Frogman coming out in 2023. I’m very interested seeing as I have, and love the only one of its kind to date (MRG-1100-2) launched in 1999 and the only full Titanium Frogman to be produced to date. The new one will be extremely expensive but we’ll worth it to me. It will probably be my next purchase. I haven’t really answered your question, apologies, but I really don’t have an overall favourite in my focused collection.

Yep, I saw that and showed them when I returned it, also, the vid may not show it but the second hand didn’t quite hit all of its markers. Now, while I’m used to the Seiko Tuna’s superior quartz movement, and can’t expect to see this in other quartz movements, I still like to see the second hand hitting each marker. Don’t let any of this put you off. These are fantastic watches, great value for money and the people who work there are fantastic to deal with. If you did have an issue, it would be very quickly rectified.

I do know some people will use this watch to go diving with. With my limited knowledge of diving, I do understand that any diver wrist watch is only ever going to be used as a backup to a dive computer. I’m not a diver so I take the word from my friends that do dive. I also own some very nice and very capable seiko divers and will agree that they are of high quality. I’d probably choose the Seiko over the Momentum to go diving with if I was that way inclined. Anyway, this wasn’t “click bait” as you mentioned, I actually visited and talked to the team here in Vancouver, at Momentum about the watch, and the other Momentum pieces that I review, so I would take their word over anybody else about their own products.

@desire68frogman98 I agree with you and them. They designed the crown to be operated with gloves, I am just saying that no one professional diver will use the crown with gloves. Maybe it is not a click bite, more it's like a marketing trick, to make people buy the watch. This is not only Momentum, I watched many other micro brands using this trick with the crown.

@user-xl8in7xi4h Yeah, it’s more of a selling point. As you mentioned earlier, which makes perfect sense, you would set everything up, prior to diving. I do like the Torpedo but my favourite and choice was the Aquamatic, lovely watch and a collection keeper for me.

Each to their own. I have a few watches with quartz, and they run just fine.

Of course it does. Most people doesn't think rationally.
