Zainab Abbas is a Pakistani television host, sports presenter, commentator, and former makeup artist. Abbas was born in Lahore to domestic cricketer Nasir Abbas and politician Andleeb Abbas.
Her father played in the Faisalabad and Hafizabad cricket teams as a bowler and went to the same college as Ramiz Raja. On the other hand, her mother is a senior member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf party, elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan on a reserved seat for women from Punjab, and was appointed as the Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs. She also covered a few cricket events as a journalist, including the 1999 World Cup.
In November 2019, Abbas married Hamza Kardar. Hamza is the son of former finance minister and former governor of State Bank of Pakistan, Shahid Hafeez Kardar, himself the son of Abdul Hafeez Kardar, Pakistan cricket team's first captain.

Disappointed at this interview. This shows that Miss zainab lives in her own little shell and judges aam awaam aurat. She doesn't realize only the very privileged are able to rest or do what they choose during pregnancy

Momina, you look great in white, I think it's your color. Over the years, I have admired Zainab's work in a predominantly male work setting. Having said that, while I will give her benefit of doubt that it was not her intention but often when we come from a place of privilege we often say things that would be considered as sweeping generalization or unfair, in this case; her comment regarding "aam aurat" - the notion that pregnant women have a sedentary lifestyle is inaccurate In my interactions/observations I have seen pregnant women from different economic background being on their feet and staying active. Particularly, women from lower- middle class as they may not have house help at their disposal. Also, any form of physical activity suffices one does not need to enroll in a gym as not everyone can afford the same. Momina, you ask very good questions; can we get an interview with Mahira Khan?
