Parents will learn to experience the joy of swimming with their children. If parents come to the lesson carrying their own apprehensions about the water -- tense, afraid and without a smile -- the children will catch on to this and begin crying. My task as an instructor is to teach parents and children to experience the joy together.
Each parent becomes a personal instructor for his or her child. As the instructor, I will ensure that parents are proficient and knowledgeable in the program. I will explain and lead the step-by-step process by which children will learn and gain comfort in the water.
