I wish more internals were like the Kronos. By far one of the best catch systems.

Never have I ever successfully reassembled a blaster for the first time and not need to disassemble it all over again to figure out what I messed up. Until today. Wow! Thanks, Cap!

one tip: prime a kronos before disassembly. then it won't spring apart when opened

Thanks! My son's was jammed up with sand for a long time, then he and a buddy reduced it to a pile of components this evening, and now I have been able to clean and reassemble it in the right order so that it works!

Seeing how simple this inspired to me to order up a spring replacement and the replacement loading door. Just finished taking everything apart and reassembling with new parts in about 20 minutes.

I picked up one of these recently that was suspiciously hard to prime. Figured it was just dirty inside and needed to be lubed which was the case (as it feels very smooth now), and your guide was immensely helpful as always in making this possible. I was not aware that I could prime the spring mechanism by itself, and just by watching your video I'm now able to understand how and why everything inside here is as it is. Thank you very much for posting these videos for people. You have a great way of verbally and visually explaining everything from the simple to the very complex, and that is a very valuable skill in any area.

I had a Kronos that I never felt comfortable enough to disassemble for painting. When I finally did, the spring let go and allllll the parts went flying. This video saved me, and it operated perfectly after reassembly. Thank you!

Needed to be sure I put the plunger back in the correct orientation (which I could've eventually figured out mechanically). This helped. Thank you.

My 4 year old daughter wanted to show off to her cousins and got sand in mine from playing with it outside. Anyway I decided not to operate it till I could work up the courage to disassemble and clean it up. The teardown was easier than I expected but it was the reassembly that was the problem. Specifically that slide lock thing, I couldn't get it to make sense to me and it was frustrating. I searched and found your video and even though it's not the same model as mine, I knew it would have the same basic internals and it did. I found what I was looking for at 5:55 to 7:00 and it saved my NERF gun. I can't thank you enough. I was able to clean it up and grease it and it works like new.

When I first had a Kronos I had to unzip it, as you do ... this guide would have been so useful as I quickly discovered that gently opening a Kronos leads to a barely contained micro explosion where you're lacking three things ~ where it came from, where it went and what it looked like ... 🤣

Nice guide. Definitely look this up again if ever I get my hands on a beat up Kronos. I'd like to share my technique on keeping the right screws on the right holes: masking tape. After removing the screw, put it back in the hole upside down so it wont jut out, then cover the hole with a small bit of masking tape. It will also make sure the screw that tapped the hole will be the same one going back in.

Got a Kronos off of Amazon for Christmas, thing kept jamming and the slide got stuck in the full open position. Got a replacement delivered today, that one jammed as well. Asked a more knowledgable HvZ/ Nerf friend what to do: "I actually just worked on a Kronos last month! Here's the video I used for this, it's very clear and well-explained..." Now my replacement/new blaster is singing like a beauty. Much obliged Capt. X.

3 years later and this was the most helpful guide I could find, my son got one of these new for a gift and it didn't function well at all, not even sure what was wrong, but after reassembling it works as well as his others. Excellent video

Thanks to your video, I was successful, rather than having a pile of dissassembled plastic and metal that wouldn’t work.

Thank you for this Video! I Ordered one of these a few days ago for myself as my son already had one and it's really fun. It arrived non functional and using this video I could see the issue, it came with an additional door catch piece that was floating around and blocking the slide, disassembled and properly put back together and now works beautifully!

I misplaced the first side lock when i had to fix a malfunction, and my blaster locked up and unlocked at random for 2 years before I decided to do anything. This really helped me fix it! Thanks!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video. I ordered all kinds of cool mods for mine and it exploded upon opening. Which left me clueless. I bought another. No prime when I opened but it wouldn’t fire when I put it all together. I’m going to work on the blaster tonight and I’ll let you know how it goes!

Great video ! I've started mod'ing my Kronos and this is what I needed to begin the painting. I installed the muzzle break and jam door from RE ARMORY along with a K26 spring replacement, and thanks to another convenient how-to video, I purchased an exacto knife and carved out enough plastic to make this "Special K" a Six shooter. Tip.. Nail polish remover works great to remove any paint designs ie. white stripes, rival logos off the sides. Yeah, I raided my wife's cotton balls and nail polish remover, which by the way beats sanding off the trim paint. It does make the base paint look glossy. I just took a brill-o pad and roughed it back to a flat finish. Anyhoo.. looking forward to using this video to section off pieces rather than masking off to paint !Thanks for this tutorial !

Aha! I shall re-watch this at the weekend and try to find out which lock I misaligned when I was reassembling a Kronos months ago! (highest odds on the slide-lock with it's multi-fangled torsion spring, in my opinion)

I took the plunger tube part with the spring primed IT and you can shoot it at around 140 fps

Wasn't on the list and its so obscure you'd never have a good reason to do it but.... I had a very _fun_ time painting a Deltaburst.

Thank you this help me out! When trying to double prime the slide wouldn't go forward again and had to take apart. There was no screw under the slide though and no thread cut into the post. Cost cutting?

What happens if you remove the rear slide lock? In a Hades, removing the manual slide lock makes the blaster occasionally slip out of battery. The back slide lock looks like it could be removed without affecting the Kronos' operation.

My kronos won't slide back. I took it apart to spray paint it and put it back together with out of darts screws and it won't prime back. I'll look into it more but if you have any tips, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The depriming function is also very useful for shotgunning the blaster

I can’t believe I’m finally getting into rival and it’s because of a Kronos I found at a goodwill, picked up some adventure force ammo and it seems to be sorta weak, maybe it was left primed or the breach is too small or the ammo is stiff but nevertheless it is struggling to get 50 feet max distance and I’m pretty sure that’s not good, and it’s not consistant with the EXACT SAME AMMO. So if you read this what are your thoughts? thanks in advance

My kronos has problem. After loading the rounds and trying to shoot, the rounds don't shoot and for the 2nd time of priming and shooting the round just drops of the blaster. Which is super frustrating. Is there a solution to this?

Is there a mod you can do on the Kronos that will literally make you reel in pain every time you get shot with this blaster once modded, the reason why I'm asking is because i prefer doing long distance shots and for me and my brother the k26 mod is just not powerful enough for us

Not related to the video (shoot me) but are there any good cheap and easy Mavrick mods keep in mind the most I will have is likely a screwdriver I might have the other tools but I don't know. Also is there any way to keep the tri-strike's prime handle together my left orange part just comes off with very little force.

having trouble with the magazine. The spring on the "force feeder" was dislodged i guess.. so i took the Kronos apart, saw that was the issue but i am not sure how to reset that spring to resolve the issue. im seeing in the video that yours is always in the up position, so when the balls are loaded, that will wind the spring. thanks for any help

5 min after using it... Jam had to open it

For some reason, my kronos shell wont come off. I have taken out all the screws, but it feels like there is a hidden screw in the bottom of rhe trigger that I am not allowed to get to.

I own Seven Kronos (Kroni?). I've taken apart four of them - two phantom corp. and one each team red and blue. Not one of them has had a screw in the hidden screw port underneath the priming handle. Did Hasbro just stop putting them in or did QA screw me four separate times?
