crypto as a whole It's a currency you need a middleman to be safe with or at least a legal body, you can get screwed over and nobody but the person you paid determines how permanent it is

In a perfect world it's just a cash alternative, you keep 500/600 dollars worth of it and you buy coffee with it, even if you get scammed it's not a big deal, same as cash, people fell for the "internet money will make me a millionaire" investment meme and got burned because of it

Pretty much, the system relies on trust and the amounts you can spend realistically are going to be restricted to the amounts you can afford losing.

(the "system" does not rely on trust...) the responsvie service as you call it is entirely up the developer that sets up your payment system notification of payment in the queue is pretty much instant; so once you get that notif, you can notify your user that tx is indeed on the way and that order will be processed after X conf on the network. how long it takes depends on the fees the user chose to send his monero then you chose how many conf (the X above) before letting your system process the order. you don't want to chose to process at the notif in case the user has for example put a fee too low & the tx get lost in the queue, 1 conf is standard i believe - or you add a cron job to check payments if you process at the notif, so to cancel order if no conf for four hours for example.

You're able to prove you sent "x" Monero with view keys. And you can and should always get a receipt. This is not a problem.

In germany cash is basically useless, cant pay rent with it. You need a bank account even for electricity and gym bill. Cash is just used to buy things such as groceries, everything else runs through wiring money. (Transfer/Lastschrift etc.)

Monero lies independent of the fiat currency system's manipulations and it is the only cryptocurrency out there intended as it was created for: to protect our freedom and privacy in all transactions. But most people are in it for the fiat-gains, they still have so much ties to the fiat unit of measurement. To me, everything other than monero is techno slavery.... Monero will be instrumenetal. It does not care whether it is criminalized or outlawed, just like gold and silver, it has shown its value in it's uses. People say its not a good store of value, but what they mean is its not a good store of fiat-value as you cannot really use it to invest and get more fiat-gains. These people don't get it. Keep stacking and most important keep using xmr all.

PoS would kill Monero, and i think Monero's PoW is the best PoW implentation for the environment, as it blocks ASICs and FPGAs and encourage average people to mine it, not large farms like Bitcoin and Ethereum before PoS.

Mordinals? Fizzled out. A soft fork "config change" was done where tx_extra was limited to 1060 some odd bytes. As the mining pool nodes as well as p2pool agreed, it limits getting something large on as one would have to solo mine.
