555 is 14kt and is usually from Europe.

I found a stamp of 916 or 917 that is 22k gold. The stamp that's on the ring you found is 14k and maybe an overlay of 22k gold?

Hi, Michael. Not a lot of coins, but you more than made up for that with the 18K gold ring find. I was going to ask about the reason for dredging, but if they're looking for gold, then good luck to them. Perhaps they should have asked you to metal detect the area first in case there were any rings or coins etc before they started 😂 Thanks for sharing. Stay healthy and safe 👍
