Money in the Bank! Winter Gold Mining more than Pays for the Trip!

"SHOW ME THE MONEY" After a tough few days snorkeling around sniping for gold in an iced over creek in BC, I finally weigh a payout that more than covers the cost of fuel for the trip! It's just the beginning, but a positive take-away like this is sure encouraging considering it's still the middle of winter here in Canada, and it will only get easier from here on out!
Thanks for watching. Thanks to everyone who is supporting this KZfaq channel with your likes, comments, and by being subscribed to this crazy adventure of life.

It's a great feeling to make more than gas money. But some brutal conditions. I suggest going south and getting a claim in California or Arizona. Even into Mexico, my buddy is in Mazatlan right now prospecting and selling land to miners, and also the Baja has some great gold history. With a few more hours of daylight and milder temperatures I think you could do well in the right spot. And if not, at least it's beer drinking weather. Then you can hit your creek in March with no ice and warmer water. Once you make a small fortune then you can do Tasmania and area. :)

I've had some of my best grades in the spring after the initial melt but before the mountain snow pack melts and swells the rivers. There is a window of approximately 2 weeks in March where the water is low and the ground is workable. Your opening reminded me a bit of some similar end of winter experiences. I crawled around on the snow quite in 2020 when I did a bunch of experiments. Boots go right through a lot of that stuff... might have to revert to snowshoes! Thanks for the vid.

I'm thinking a compressor would be awesome down there. But my knees buckle just at the thought of carrying enough lead weight down there to sink the amount of neoprene I'm wearing to stay warm. Might be a good thing to try in milder weather when a thinner suit might work. I'm still figuring out exactly how to make a living and sorting out just how long of a runway I might have to try and mine for a season... more on that later, lots going on behind the scenes.

Wow that is some REAL money. if that is 3 days, what if you were doing that full time. That sounds to me like a viable job. Yes its hard work, you might not become a millionaire but that amount of gold in 3 days if thats correct would easily be a full time job. You should do a white board of your effort and hours in, how much you would need to do it full time. This seems way more cost effective than your sluicing for fine gold.
