Aiyima should make a larger version of T9 with 2 of those as mono-blocks to double the clean power, a dedicated subwoofer out, high pass filter on mains when sub is used and maybe more analog inputs.

I do use two Ayima A07s maxed out with a separate volume control and found I get even better power and performance. Not really bi-amped, just using one A07 for each speaker. Seems to free up more juice for each channel. Not double power, but very noticible improvement

I have the Aiyima DAC - A2 which has been my desk dac for the last three years or so, fed by an Xduoo X10T ii via coax. Sounds really good, has bass and treble which I need as I'm using bass light headphones and I'm over fifty. I like it so much I bought three, and pre covid it was less than £40. I think it's sells for about £60 now. It also comes as the Nobsound Q3 and Fosi Q4, but the Aiyima is the cheaper variant. I run it into a XuanZu X2-U808 for some tube sparkle (although the headphone out on the front of the unit is perfectly adequate.), and I don't miss a remote as the whole setup sits mere inches away on my desk. I think the main reason for the quality sound is good implementation of the NE5532 opamps.

I’ve been using the A07 for a couple of years in a TV setup with JBL Studio 530’s. While the A07 is capable of generating 300W, it requires a more powerful transformer (purchased separately) to do so. The stock transformer it comes with only generates about 50wpc.

After the reviews are done for these new cheap chifi amps from aiyima and fosi audio, an RB42 re-review would be ideal. 4/5 years ago the cheap amp options for those speakers were limited at best, but now there's a whole new ecosystem of cheap powerful amps that shift how expensive an RB42 system actually would be.

Curious on what your thoughts are in regards to the old topping VX1 compared to these 2 units as well as the loxjie a30. Recently purchased some Monitor Audio Silver 50 G7's that have yet to come in and while the VX1 has served me well, that itch to spend money is still there. Using for nearfield desktop use on usb (only input) but would be using either optical or usb + subwoofer with one of these newer units.

Wish you had this review before I purchased my T9. But honestly I would have gotten the amp either way. Ive got a T9 powering a pair of Micca RB42 at my desk and I really love the setup. The staging and imaging of my simple system is so immersive. Low noise, slightly tube-colored. I do have slight concern with the port chuffing at higher levels and looking for a solution - maybe a HPF and sub; Or maybe a notch filter. Haven’t tried anything scientific to resolve that yet

Don't get the T9. Get the T9 Pro. The T9 cuts off after 4 seconds of silence, then takes about a second after getting input to click back on. I contacted Aiyima about this and they told me to destroy it, take a pic of the destroyed item and they would refund me. The T9 Pro gets rid of this issue

@jemsmay2167 6 ай бұрын
The T9 got rid of that issue as well in later releases. I have had a T9 (upgraded tubes) for the past year and a half, no cutting off, no clicking back on. It is used with an optical connection to a WiiM mini and is powering Sony sscs5’s. The sound is amazing for less than $300 all in. Can even put HiRes thru it, but to be honest I dont hear a meaningful difference between hiRes and CD quality source. Still looking for a good 8 inch sub to complete the system, might add an AO7 max and use the T9 as a pre amp/dac.

It's pronounced Aiyima, not Aiyima 😂 I've got the A07 Pro which adds in simple tone controls and a slightly more powerful power supply. Both of these can be boosted to almost the full amount of power they advertise with a 48v unit as you mentioned....but honestly, you don't need it if you're using this in it's intended purpose of using it on a desktop system. I paired it with a set of Jamo S803's and a Jamo powered sub, heaven on earth for my computer setup for around $300....unreal. Unfortunately I own the T9 as well, it's regulated to backup duty due to it's stupid annoying clicking---you can't get rid of it and it's on every output but RCA that I've seen. No, just no. A07 all the way.
