The caption here is very misleading. This sensational journalism! Ifá ṣíṣẹ́ is not money ritual. What the babaláwo is explaining here is how one who acquires Ifá and performs all rituals necessary to energise it will never lack. How is that the same as money ritual?

Let me explain better , "Ogun owo" does not mean blood money as popularly known . In IFA , when you are been initiated by the right person , mind you their are fake pastor and good pastor, In IFA so their are good babalawo and bad babalawo, so as I was saying if you are initiated into IFA by the right person. You will see changes in everything you do. All the things that are difficult to you before will come with ease without stress . Ogun owo does not mean killing human being for ritual.

@@giwababatunde5204 ok that's what they told my mom friend to bring ram, for Ogun itaja, she's food seller cook one,baba told her to bought ram and tied the ram for 7days she should be giving the ram food with herb mix , after 7 day she should bring it to come and killed him in his place, before that 7days clock,a white germent woman came from another state came to the market started shouting that some one tied ram down that the person wanted to use it for market booster if she tried to killed that ram,her first son will die immediately,,and baba didn't told that is human being, they're going to use

Alaafia, this man is not a Babaláwo, is just a medicinal(Onisegun) a Babalawo can never and never speak like this and he did not know what is saying. He did not know the difference between Ifa sise(Recieving ifa) and ifa tite(Initiation) Guys, you need to be careful.

Like I said, there is different between, Isefa and Itefa. Isefa is like you do half way and all what is give get is limited, like your Odu(Sign) will be temporary, your Taboo, will be temporary as well and you will not go to Igbódù or Panadu(Ifa grove) for that. Also, you may not be there to do it, they can do it for you can send it to you and tell how how to be taking care of it. Itefa is when you do the full initiation and you will have your permanent taboo and sign and you will go do the grove for that and you will be there in person to do it. The retual will be more then Isefa. And so on.

His explanation towards Ifa initiation as a money ritual as far as I'm concerned is metaphorical. It means when you have Ifa and you do bo Ifa regularly, you won't be poor because Ifa would open the way to success for such a person. Then concerning your first observation, African Traditional Religions are diverse religions including the Ifa Religion. The knowledge is endless...by the way, your observation is noted and would be addressed when next I interview him again or another Babalawo. Thanks.
