@@Bravebelly I grew up in the Philippines, specifically in Malabon city and horse meat was always available. Nowadays, it’s a bit more difficult to get them but we just had some last week!

Yep, it's Cyrillic, but with two added letters. Mongolia was communist in the 1940s and were influenced by their neighbor USSR. The old Mongol alphabet could only be written vertically, and was not easy to read. Mongolia wanted to increase literacy, so they went with Cyrillic. It's the least densely populated country in the world. Incredibly rural. So increasing literacy took a while, but they went from 2% to 90% literacy in 20 years. If you wanna heat up the flimsy tinfoil tubs but you don't wanna risk burning the food, poke some holes in the food and pour in a splash of water. It will boil off and create steam, which heats the food more evenly. Horse meat is really nice thinly sliced on a sandwich.

@@Bravebelly the rations my brother had were C and K rations in cans..during prolonged layovers sometimes up to 4 guys will put their rations in 1 pot to heat up..and the cans were then re-used to get an equal portion. a way of making new dishes

Fuel tablets are recommended for outdoor use as they emit toxic gases and can poison you and your food.
