Through no fault of her own she had a "shooting star" career, shining bright for a short time and suddenly gone. The physical injury was fairly negligible, the psychological one significant

This event changed her and women's tennis. The head is always so much harder to heal. I would have loved to see Monica being the aging star the Williams sisters would have to displace

always wondered why there was no footage of the stabbing: its because they cant legally show it ? or they were on tv commercial

I was neither censored nor were they on TV commercial Back in 1993 they had much less cameras on court ... they did not allways focus on the players. The fact was that there was just no camera focusing on Monica when it happend. Plus: The match was not broadcasted live, which also was natural these days...
