ABOUT ME
I am 25 years old. I was born in Poland and grew up in the UK. I am married to a wonderful man called Maciej with whom I vlog on a seperate channel (everdaters). I also lived in places such as Paris and Alesund in Norway throughout my life.
Why fragrances? I have always been very sensitive to smells. For example I remember being 6 years old and going on a fishing trip with my family. After catching fish I could smell fish oil on my hands for days but no one believed me. Wherever I lived I always spent hours in my local fragrance shop and get to know many amazing fragrances. Now I am sharing my passion for fragrances on KZfaq. I have a third perfume, so I can personally express a first-person opinion. Yes, they are close, and aim to occupy the same niche in the world of perfumes. I rarely use Bleu De Chanel, not because it is unpleasant, but it is very "quiet", the aroma quickly stays close to the skin, and after only a few hours, only memories remain. As for Dior Sauvage, until recently this was the perfume I received the most compliments from, but last summer Y YSL EDP definitely replaced it. It has a much more modern and contemporary look, is extremely powerful to design, and cannot go unnoticed. These qualities of Y YSL EDP make it easily noticeable and people often compliment and ask what scent I wear. So if at this point, I only have to choose one, it's definitely Y YSL EDP.

I have all three edp, got them used (99% full) for around $40, $50 each. Chanel is the most versatile and easiest to wear. Dior has a mysterious sexy thinner smell, but most women likes this. Y is a sweet apple scent. Sauvage and Y have good projection and performance, but BdC is more of a skin scent for me.

I went through a store last month, the girl in there started overwhelming with a lot of fragrances ADG, Dior, Mont Blanc even Bentley, after a couple of seconds she got quiet and serious then she looked at me and said: "¿Do you want your girl to eats you with kisses? If you want her to climb arround your neck and kiss you then you should buy this " - referencing Y EDP by YSL. It was the best sell someone ever made me. I decided to believe in her and bought the fragance, nowadays Y EDP by YSL is my girls fav fragance.

I have all 3 in my collection and agree with everything that you said about them However I prefer YSL Y edp as I am a little bored the of the Bleu De Chanel DNA (smelled the EDT concentration initially in 2012) and lot of my friends have bleu de Chanel in their collection (for some that’s their only scent ). Also the YSL’s performance is absolutely phenomenal, which in a weird way makes me very confident while wearing it as I know I smell good.

Out of the three, I had to purchase Chanel BDC EDP last year. It’s so versatile (all seasons/all situations). Both Sauvage and YSL Y just weren’t for me. Stay healthy and safe!

@@hocineted7594 The original Blue de Chanel EDT might be a bit better for the summer, but the EDP will still work quite well. It just depends on how you feel about the incense (balsamic/woody) dry down. But as Monika always says, where what you want when you want if it truly makes you happy.

the first BDC bottles were insane. Sparkly, buzzy, WOW! Without "eau the toilette" inscription. Projection for a good 2 meters, super performance. Now it's some washings. EDP is too powdery and femine. Really. It's a pity because it's not that anymore.

I recently switched from Boss Bottled Intense EDP to YSL Y EDP and I absolutely love it 😁🥰 My kind of scent - fresh, juicy, sweet and youthful. 10/10 Bleu de Chanel is lovely as well (9/10), but I feel like there is more going on with the YSL Y, it's just more complex imo.

I have all 3. All great fragrances that anyone with over 10 or so fragrances should pick up. My favorites in order: Bleu De Chanel: very sophisticated, high quality, would daily wear, very mass appealing. YSL Y: Similar to above but feels more casual, perhaps better in the fall and slightly cooler weather but works fine year round, also great every day scent Sauvage: LOUD scent, better for the night out, could be worn casually but go easy on sprays especially indoors, fine year found best it hot heat.

Bleu De Chanel EDP is the classiest of all but slightly lacks performance. Also it is good for cooler spring nights and cooler days because of the heavy incense note. Dior Sauvage EDT is good as a casual fragrance but can be worn all year round because of its piercing strength and scent profile. Y EDP is much sweeter than the other 2 and to be honest slightly more juvenile catering to a crowd of below 30 max. Also sweeter notes tend to get more sweeter in high heat and can become cloying so this one's also good for cooler days / nights and should be avoided in high heat.

I own BDC EDP, ADG Profondo and YSL EDP. I personally enjoy BDC EDP the most, it just smells very put together in that Chanel way.. YSL EDP gets me a ton of compliments, but I rarely wear it because I just don’t enjoy how dense it is. ADG Profundo is a great middle ground. I get tons of compliments, it’s brisk and fresh but also does that shower gel thing that people love.

@@7860092 i did! i've had it for a good month or two now. it certainly performs quite well, but not sure if it's better performing than sauvage. there's also something "sparkling" in y edp (probably the sage) which i sometimes find a bit unpleasant. but other than that, a pretty solid all round scent.

I personally like all 3 so thank you for the awesome video. I would buy all 3 in my collection lol. My favorites are Bleu De Chanel and Dior Sauvage but I really like Y EDP I have tested on my skin a couple times and it smells so nice when I walk outside. I just have more memories with Chanel and Dior. I did have both Sauvage and Bleu de Chanel in my collection at one point and I just loved both fragrances, I had a hard time choosing what to wear each day. My favorite is probably Bleu De Chanel but Sauvage is up there but I'm sure Y EDP will be up there as well when I create more memories with it.

Sauvage does not smell fresh to me. It smells sharp and spicy/dirty with licorice tones in it. It shocked me when I bought it. I thought it was going to smell kinda shower fresh but it’s real heavy and somewhat headache inducing. But that’s just me.

I definitely want bleu de Chanel and YSL Y but mainly YSL Y parfum but definitely want both of them. Not sure on Savage but I'll give it another try I did finally smell it for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I do know what the hypes about cuz that smell reminded me of a lot of other guys wearing it around the mall or something like that a couple years ago. It's been a while and I could try it again this time I can buy it. But mainly I don't know why but Bleu de Chanel to me feels like it could be a loner's scent, like I'll do almost everything by myself I'm at work and I do stuff by myself I eat by myself I am in my room by myself all the time I am just overall do stuff by myself and this fragrance could be I go to, I would be confident wearing this fragrance, maybe I can hopefully get a compliment at the college that I work at

I started using Dior Sauvage more than 4 yrs back and it was a beast. Still own a bottle. Then came BDC which still rocks my world. Everyday everywhere it is a compliment getter for me. I just can't wait to grab a bottle of YSY Y. This review just got me freaked out.

I have BDC Edp, I love it! I tried a clone of Sauvage from ALT. LIKED it at first, then really did Not care 4 it. I ended up returning it. I've never tried Y edp by ysl. Would love 2 try. Great review Monica! Jesus loves you!

First time i ever heard someone called Dior Sauvage " soapy " and i must say you are correct. To me it´s just like luxurious soap or detergent. I was a bit disappointed when i first got my bottle. However, it smells clean and fresh but for that price ? Just placed an order for the YSL Y edp and i hope this one is more " perfume " and not as soapy as Dior. Overall, always a plessure to watch your videos.

@@ogkush6800 You´re spot on. That ginger make it a little more uplifting and interesting. One thing that come to my mind, i think Versace Pour Homme, YSL Y edp and Dolce&Gabbana Light Blue Intense edp are more similar. The Versace are the basic one and in D&G they added an aquatic note and in YSL they added ginger. If it was like a pizza. Versace is the plain pizza. D&G added anchovy to make it oceanic. YSL added some fruits like pineapple to make it more fresh and uplifting. I also hate the Versace and that comes from last summer when it was really hot outside. I was driving home and this smell... what is it... and then i remembered. I´m smelling like a wet dog that just got washed with schampoo. Never wore Versace Pour Homme after that.

Sauvage EDP has better longevity and slightly more projection than the EDT and not the other way around. People should stop advertising the EDT as the longest lasting and strongest projecting.

If you want compliments from woman use either blue de chanel or YSL. But if you want to bring the girl into your bed, use Dior sauvage. trust me on this one ;) its like they view guys. blue de chanel and YSL are the good guy the girls always say they want but not really want. Dior sauvage is that bad boy that woman say is trying too hard and is obnoxious some times, but they all bang with him.
