Out of this 11:52 clip over 8 minutes of this clip was full of aggressive excuses and deflection from the aggressor in this altercation. Also saying that she had to hold someone down to prevent a physical altercation that she initiate first strike is totally disgusting! The cameras don't lie! After the fight was over and Candice was being sent home, Monique ran around the building in a rage yelling she was going to kill her! Monique was only stopped by producers, who had to run after her. In order to prevent her from attacking Candice again! At this point Candice was getting in a car and leaving; therefore, she was no long "a threat." The only truth Monique told while recalling this incident, is she has anger issues! Hopefully Monique is truly getting help to work through the anger. Her deminor in this interview came across aggressively rude and contradicts her statements on her accepting fault. I would recommend for her to get a PR team and not conduct any further personal interviews. Until she has fully healed and gained a better insight and outlook on things. This is a unfortunate turn of events and can cause serious damage to her professional and business reputation. Sadly a lot of damage has already occurred with the continued footage of the incident circulating on multiple channels, networks, and social media platforms. Monique can absolutely recover from this. Unfortunately as long as, she continues to provide additional sound bites, that further the negativity and ugliness of this situation. It will continue to be a hindrance in her career.

You know, several seasons ago Monique admittedly invited the ex-wife of Gizelle Bryant's then boyfriend to an all cast event specifically for the purpose of getting under her skin, so let us not pretend she is above playing dirty on the show. That said, Potomac has never been the HW franchise about throwing hands. The literal dragging is left to franchises like New Jersey. Is Potomac bitchy in the tradition of classic Hollywood films like The Women or All About Eve? Definitely. You fight on that show with wordplay and verbal jousting, and in the moment between Candiace the yapping poodle and Monique, Monique couldn't keep up and resorted to bashing Candiace's head. I'm not a huge fan of Candiace, but looking at this objecively, the butterknife example is being mischaracterized; the person Candiace pointed it at was trespassing in the Candiace's home after she had been thrown out for verbally attacking her (a girl, btw, whose mouth is just as vicious as Candiace and given to outrageous slander ON camera-) the woman re-entered Candiace's home again some moments later after being asked to exit and refused to leave; surely Monique remembers what it's like to throw a cast member out of her house, she's done it before herself to cast members who have said less than Ashley did to Candiace. The thrown wine glass towards Monique, btw, was AFTER Monique had a pitbull grip on the Candiace's head, and was punching the daylights out of her, it was clearly Candiace's only defense after she she was being held down and being pummeled and, it was clear the girl could not even see where she was throwing. Monique is a beautiful woman with a beautful family, but it's the twisting of conext and intentional omission of details when sharing with people who don't watch the show that feels manipulative and disingenuous...and this is why a good portion of the viewing audience can't get behind her on this.
