I've really been debating hard between this speakers. THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS. They both sound good but the voice sounds more realistic on the 300. Likely worth the extra money I'm thinking.

Since I have dual subs svs-sb2000 I would definitely go with the 200. I'm sure there great theater speakers, but can't they play loud say Led Zeppelin it's my go to music .

I'd recommend Klipsch RP for a HT setup. That doesn't mean the Silver package of 5.1 cannot do the job. Klipsch would be just a better choice for movies to my opinion.

I had a chance to compare these two recently, and came away liking the 200 slightly better. The added mid-range driver of the 300 made it more flat (and probably more accurate) in the vocal range, but I liked the way the 200 handled that range better. To me it sounded like the 200 had a slight dip in the range that can make some vocals sound more "canny" or "nasal". I found the 200 a bit more forgiving for this reason, and liked it so much I'm looking to buy a pair. Both great speakers for sure, and very musical.

Looking get a pair of silver 200 in piano black, they'll should kick but with my dual subs svs-sb2000. I know they are great home theater speakers, and jazz music they shine my opinion. Just wonder how they can play classic rock led zeppelin etc?

@@ross5506 I find the 200's to be very neutral, airy, and set back. I like them on a lot of music. They tend to not overdo it in the lows/low mids, so probably good you have the subs. I use an SVS sub downstairs on my movie setup. They should work really well w/ the 200's, and give them some more solid lows for rock. Enjoy!

200 sounds brighter, I prefer 300 as it sounds warmer and I don’t find it tiring to listen to.

Klipsch is more know for HT use and Silver 200/300 for 2 channel stereo listening! Klipsch is more forward facing speaker and the Horn Tweeter works well for movies. Silver series is warm and non fatiguing speakers. I own both.

Listening on headphones I'd say the 300 feel deeper and more depth on vocal. Tough choice

Depending on the size and acoustics of your room. You will notice a sub or subs on both 200 and 300, although 300 has better bass response.

In my 19' x 11' x 7' the 200 with dual SVS-SB2000, tight gut punch bass with nice airy highs. That's my opinion

For me it was! I auditioned both with Roxan K3 and 300 was the winner. It also depends on your room size and budget.

The Silver 300s appear to have a much fuller sound with a lot more depth.

Of course you can find better options, so many choices.... B&W, Dali, kef, Elac, etc. Depending on your taste, the Silver 500 could be the best or the worst ;-)

I auditioned MA Silver 200 and 300 with Roxan K3. Great combination. Silver 300 is better than 200 overall to my ears. The sound is on the warm side. It would be hard to judge based on what you hear in KZfaq. Listening to these beauties side by side is a different story with the same amp.

Silver 200 Sound A Bit Smaller/thinner More Edgy And Forward Silver 300 More Natural, Better Flow To The Music . Bass Is Better Felt and a Bit Boomy? Musicians are taller Silver 300 for me

Moniteur Audio propose d'excellents produits qui mériteraient d'être mis en avant chez les spécialistes. Moi qui suis un inconditionnel de B&W, j'ai découvert cette marque dans une boutique en accompagnant un ami qui voulait des bibliothèques. Le vendeur a fait un super boulot, mon ami écoute beaucoup de rock des années 70 et pas mal de live. Après avoir écouté les habituels B&W 606 706, KEF 350, focal aria 906 , Dynaudio Emit 20, Elipson Prestige Facet 8B , klipsh rp600m, il a proposé l'entrée de gamme Monitor Audio 100 Bronze puis MA silver 100 bref sur le genre musical de mon ami The Doobie Brothers, the Who, Led zep, the Black Keys.... mais surtout sur les titres en live elles étaient pour moi dune classe au-dessus.

theoretically 300 are better in almost every way except 200 are somehow clearer, more refine.

The two way crossover is cleaner than the 3 way with accentuated mids. I like this sound better, my sub will cary the bass anyway

200 sound crisp and more refined. 300 sound a little muddy compared to the 200's. Maybe warm sounding is better said.

I wouldn't call the 200s more refined-sounding (from what I hear in this video). I find they sound more 'hi-fi', and the 300s are more refined/ audiophile-sounding. ie. the 200s are bright and exciting, but a bit lacking in ultimate focus, whereas the 300s are fuller, more balanced, more 'tangible' / better focus/more solid 3d image. This is what I hear through a Nuforce uDac headphone amp and Grado sr325si headphones.

In real the 200’s lack bass. They are very good sounding though.

The microphone needs to be improved. The base of 300 is rated down to 30Hz but is not reproduced here.

The Silver 200 sounds leaner and a lot more hifi-ish compared to the 300.

Exactly. not that 'hi-fi-ish sound sounds bad; it's just not as refined as the 300s.

@@BadMonkeyFinger_Audio comes down to room size, for 19' x 12' x 7' the 200 with dual SVS-SB2000. Them highs come in just nicely, the 300 sounded more bloated. Speakers today your getting a lot for your money.

Monitor Audio Silver 300, Nubert Nuline 284 and Wharfedale Evo 4.4 are the best ones I can find for that relatively similar price range. Nuline 284 is the greatly different one sound-signature-wise among those 3 but final total quality is still more or less the same like the other 2. I am planing to get one of those 3 this Xmas....roll a dice, I guess...

I'm not really interested in Japanese music, but sometimes i like to hear Kalafina and Aimer. My favourite music genres are metal and some kinds of blues.
