Monkey anoles (Polychrus gutturosus) are beautiful, interesting lizards despite the glaring fact that they are neither monkeys nor anoles. that said, is the not monkey not anole the best pet lizard for you? We'll help you figure that out.

Well hi there! For those of you in the United States that are looking for a pet reptile, I have decided to make a few of the baby reptiles that I produce available for you. Right now I have a number of bearded dragons available and other species will be available soon. I'll be posting them here if you are interested: facebook.com/Clints-Available-Reptiles-456279888468454/

"Monkey anole" means that looks or acts like an anole, but it's really not, so the name is very appropriate
@Tinyvalkyrie410
@Tinyvalkyrie410 5 жыл бұрын
The Hound It’s pretty misleading though. Anoles are a specific genetic and evolution lineage that this animal is not a part of. It would be like calling legless lizard an eyelid snake. It’s not true and it’s confusing.

Your first 10 seconds of enthusiasm made me Like the video already :D I've never seen these in Florida, I'll have to keep a better eye out! It may just be that I live in central FL, when we visited more south FL I definitely saw lizards I'd never seen before. The fun thing about visiting Coral Castle was all the lizards that had taken over there (I'm pretty sure they're invasive.) They were a good size, although not iguana size, just bigger than a small lizard, with orange heads and dark bodies, I don't know what they were. I was thinking of catching a brown anole just to get some experience with keeping a small lizard, they're everywhere in our backyard.

Please make a video about the African brown house snake. The only big snake-tuber that has made a video about them has been Brian and we all have our opinions about him. Please help put house snakes back on peoples radar! They are amazing snakes and there aren’t as many opportunities to learn about them as corn snakes or ball pythons. Even Kenyan sand boss get more love and that shocks me. In conclusion brown house snakes are just dope snakes that need more love.

What part of the state are you in? I'm in Tampa Bay, and I mostly see Cuban brown anoles (as well as the occasional blue tailed skink, small geckos, curly tailed lizards, and skinny black snakes the locals call "racers"). I keep reading about other invasive species like pythons, iguanas, tegus, etc., but I have yet to see any around here. When I first arrived here in 1990, there were green anoles everywhere, and no brown anoles, but the more aggressive brown anoles seen to have displaced the greens. It's been years since I've seen a single green anole.

@@The_Yosh there's a myth 2 myths that spawned the name, 1 locals believed the lizard was slow and sticky, thinking it'll take hours to take them off of you if you dont use something to pry them off or burn them. 2 in some urban regions people believed the name suggest that the lizard is venomous and that it's bite could cause a human to die within the 24 hours after being bitten. obviously all of these are myth. i tested it myself being a curious 10 year old and found out they are'nt even aggressive nor sticky. and getting bitten by one of these is like getting a littler paper cut. it barely even bleeds. lol i'm fund of them because of how friendly and beautiful they are. i see so much of them and sometimes i pick them up to get photos and then let them go

Compared to his normal ebullience, Clint's subdued attitude in this video made me feel inexplicably sad. Then he said, "His claws are actually fairly sharp...when he's on your eyeball." That had me rolling.

Please do a video on HR2863 TEAPSPA (federal animal ban). This could ruin so many animal educators careers/businesses and be devastating to the future of animal and environmental education efforts. So few people are talking about it and if we don't ban together and do something it may get passed.
