Like most nature videos these events are not in chronological order. They are snippets of videos, filmed over several days or even weeks of several different monkeys. When the producer has enough video footage collected, maybe hundreds of hours worth, he cherry picks a few seconds here, and a few seconds there, often of entirely different monkeys, and then pieces them all together to create a made-up story line. Sorry to burst your bubble but you should understand reality as the deception here is in the editing. These producers are in the business of selling videos and creating these phony story lines are essential in marketing their videos.

@@CaneFu Of course nature films require lots of editing. But everything I said is still true. No bubble burst here. No matter the editing, these monkey’s actually did everything we see on the film. There’s no CGI here. You don’t find any of these behaviors fascinating? That’s certainly your prerogative. But I do.

I described very discrete activities that I found to be fascinating, but for some reason you attributed to me an overall belief that these were all the same monkeys doing things in chronological order - when I said nothing like that whatsoever. So your point about “bursting my bubble” had zero foundation in anything I said. Again, the point about editing and production was irrelevant to my original point. OF COURSE it’s true that nature films often require taking thousands of hours of film to get the great footage. I think most people understand and appreciate that. The people who put this together did a great job in my opinion. I see far far less deception here than I see in news reporting every single day, where stories are told or video is cut in a way to make it look like someone said something they didn’t. Editing or not, these monkey’s exhibited some fascinating behavior. You don’t agree?
