So? What's your point? You obviously don't know the history here. That baby monkey Calvin wasn't hers. The VOs we're hoping she would adopt him as her own. But she didn't.

Put who in a retirement home? His mom? That's who left him. That's Celine's mom not Calvin's. Celine's milk he's fighting over and sucking up to grow. I guess she didn't matter. Calvin would have done her the same way if he had half the chance!

The only one who got stuffed was Calvin into a hole in the ground. Casi dragged out his life for 2 weeks before letting a kidnapper carry him off.

Are you kidding? They are monkeys not humans, they don't live by our rules. They follow instincts that have no room for sympathy or compassion. Guilt would be too complex a thing for them to comprehend or even think up. You said it yourself, Calvin and Celine were both just trying to survive and compete for food like any baby macaques would. There is no being mean for different reasons either its just their nature to compete for food. Even natural born twins will try to block one another from the milk. Casi was, in fact, remarkable generous with Calvin but he was lower rank and was suppose to be behind Celine. He just didn't want to learn his place and disrespected her constantly. He defied her not because he was starving (because he wasn't) but because he wasn't scared of her. When she mock bit him she really didn't hurt him and the pulling of his hair and shaking him never brought him in line either. Calvin would go right back doing what he was punished for because he knew there was no real consequence to his behavior. It was his time with Chiko that taught him to be afraid. The long hours of separations from the food source, the grueling task of hanging onto an active juvenile that carried him all over the park in the Cambodian heat and the occasional bite ( a real bite, not a mock bite) from Chiko when he wouldn't listen to her scared the crap out of him. Regardless of how long he lived Calvin was doomed the moment his birth mother abandoned him. Only Christy could have raised him to adulthood. He needed all her care but she never gave any. It wasn't Casi's fault and it certainly wasn't Celine's.

Calvin ate all of Celine's milk without leaving a drop and you blame Celine for that? Cassie didn't want to trade Celine for Calvin. Calvin did not appreciate the grace given to him and cruelly but fairly paid for his treachery

Jeez, you do realize these monkeys are wild animals and don't live according to your human standards?? Also every monkey including Casi, Celine and Calvin struggle with survival every single day. Not just Calvin. It's also a fact that baby monkeys who are without their biological mother's for whatever reason it may be...almost always DO NOT SURVIVE OUT OF INFANCY.

I agree with the ,not my baby but you left him with myself and daughter ,plus have milk to nurse your son and I should be doing that . Yes Casi has a girl . Don't want the boy drop him off to his MOM monkey.

If you watch some of the other videos you will see that she was letting him nurse much earlier than that. Don't believe what they write and just investigate for your self. Check the date on the videos to help follow the events better and don't be deceived by editing that will trick you. For example; they want you to believe that Calvin doesn't get fed and will edit out the scenes of him nursing and will only show Celine nursing. However there are other videos that show Calvin nursing the entire video but the title states that baby Calvin is starving but it is in fact Celine who is being blocked. Casi doesn't actually bite Calvin. She does a mock bite. All the mother macaques do this to their infants when they are disobedient. Just look at Casi's teeth, if she had actually bitten Calvin she would have killed him instantly. Just like poor Daniela.

Instincts are a pain. Not for us humans because we have a higher brain function that allows us to side step all that primitive programming we inherited from our ancient ancestors and do what we want. Monkeys don't have that option. Casi didn't take Calvin because she wanted him, she did it because her instinct to protect any infant from danger made her do it. Casi was specifically motivated that day because she had just given birth to her own infant the day before and was still cleaning herself of the placenta when Calvin was place on a wall near her. Even though she knew he wasn't her baby and refused to let him nurse at first she later relented because again her instinct to protect him drove her to do it. No one was coming to fetch him from her and he was starting to starve. When she first had him she kept sniffing his butt because she was trying to identify who he belonged to. The humans cleaned him and fed him milk which they shouldn't have. Casi wasn't cruel when she took him and she wasn't cruel when she let him go. She simply did what she was instructed to do by her instincts.

That's her milkbar, she had every right to every drop of it. Celine was Casi's true offspring, Calvin wasn't. All monkeys are greedy each and everyone of them can be considered a goblin, Celine was just protecting her birthright as any monkey infant would. Calvin was weakened by the long hours he spent with Chiko. Casi allowed the babysitting sessions to take place. If she had not wanted him babysat then she would have chased Chiko down to get him back but she didn't.

Let's not forget Cali picked him up and he imprinted on her as his mother Yes a sibling and he should have acted as one. But Calvin NEVER does. There was something wrong with him.

Uh, Casi's "pup" baby Celine is one day older than Calvin. So get that straight...Celine was already with her mom Casi by the time Calvin came along. Jeez!
