Had the most amazing time visiting the Sangeh Monkey Forest. There are two monkey forests near Ubud Bali, the Sangeh one is more out of the way but oh was it worth it. We did not have any negative experiences with the monkeys. They were calm and so fun to see interacting with each other. When we went it was not busy and we basically had the place to ourselves. The park has multiple groups/communities of monkeys with their respective leaders. The grounds were gorgeous and we even trekked down to the river. You will be accompanied by a guide that ensures the monkeys are being respected and that no bad interactions are had. This was absolutely a highlight and would recommend!
