I notice that mum always looks into his eyes when she feeds him and it always rubbing his head or his toes. . This seems like a small thing but just like a child when you are looking at them they feel the love and devotion, they have your undivided attention and it makes all the difference in the bonding between mother and child and in this case mother and monkey. I’m not sure how this will play out as he reaches maturity but for now I believe this caregiver is genuine in her love and respect.

Koko loves to be the center of attention. He does everything to be looked at and taken care of ... he's a happy little monkey !! What a difference with the other owners who mistreat these little angels or call them "rats", what a lack of humanity !!! Thank you to this nice family !!!

Lmao!! Really? You think he looks particularly happy here?? Geez...that just goes to show that you know absolutely NOTHING about these animals!! The reality of it is that he is the exact opposite of happy or content. When a macaque exhibits these behaviors (especially the biting of his own limbs) it is an indicator of frustration, stress and anxiety....classic, textbook symptoms. This poor monkey is far from happy and the treatment and "care" he receives from these people is far from adequate or good.

Either they have you fooled and/or you just know nothing about these animals. If they are such great caregivers why not ask them what happened to all of their other monkeys they had just prior to this one...🙂

Really? You think he looks particularly happy here?? The reality of it is that he is the exact opposite of happy or content. When a macaque exhibits these behaviors (especially the biting of his own limbs) it is an indicator of frustration, stress and anxiety....classic, textbook symptoms. This poor monkey is far from happy and the treatment and "care" he receives from these people is far from adequate or good.

This is the best video I watch over and over. He clearly performs core Grandma and is so endearing and making mom laugh at his antics for purpose of performing for grandma! It really seems like he is doing this on purpose knowing he can bring her joy! It is so lovely! He truly is a gem!

The way Koko was mouthing his leg looked to me like the behavior of monkeys who are treated very badly and are very emotionally traumatized. But I've seen other videos where Koko behaves like he is very content and secure. This mom seems to treat him with kindness and consideration for his disability. In other videos, he seems nicely blended in with this family, who all seem like nice people. I've subscribed, so I can learn more about them and how Koko lives.
