Capuchin monkeys are trained to assist severely paralyzed people. Treated with loving care they make excellent animal companions.
@mariehines1102
@mariehines1102 2 жыл бұрын
That was Helping Hands from Boston that trained capuchins to help handicap people. It was a success, until P.E.T.A and other animal rights groups kept attacking them saying it was abuse towards the monkeys. They finally stopped. Now they have several hundred capuchin monkeys living in an institution like setting for the rest of their lives. The older one they have is 48 yrs old. With nothing to do because of some over the top animal rights idiots.
@Inflec
@Inflec 2 жыл бұрын
@@mariehines1102 - It figures those outfits would be behind all that. Of all species of monkeys the capuchins seem to the most amenable to living with people. I wonder if they follow Y-T channels like monkeyboo where a fellow has two or three capuchins and they do seem to be a happy family. (But I don't disagree that owning any monkey is a lot of work.) Still, if it can be done successfully, these twerps should stop tampering with success. There are certainly bigger fish to fry regarding animal welfare.

@@Xx_BoogieBomber_xX Okay and the alternative is for expensive machinery that these third world shit holes cannot afford, or climbing up themselves which is extremely dangerous, or just not being a coconut farmer at all and starving to death or finding another way of life. When yuppie woke types have to pay more for their vegan organic whole foods coconut water they'll stop caring about "animal abuse" on the other side of the planet. Plus these monkeys will bite your fucking face off if you abuse them, while they are on a leash(just like dogs are), they aren't treated as bad as you think. Watch some other videos and you'll see they treat them as any pet owner treats their companions. Maybe not as pampered as the womb-barren 35+yo women that substitute their pets for children, but still treated better than you think.

Pretty impressive jump. Hopefully the owners are taking good care of this skilled worker :) and please don't listen to the self righteous indignation of western societies thinking they know better.

An indigenous monkey trainer said in another documentary that this is a tradition that's passed from father to son. He needs to get castrated (the trainer not the monkey ofc).

Those people from the west are Hypocrites. They condemn this but they don't condemn their own people who use k9 and Horses being tied up for transportation.

At least it didn't get whipped in this video! If you watch other videos you'll see that that is reward enough for these poor creatures :'(( the level of abuse is horrendous!

I would take it to the next level: -first train them on a string like they do -after they are good working on a string try without it -make them start working after an alarm siren goes off -you got yourself a self harvesting coconut plantation
