At St. Madeline's Abbey in Le Barroux, in the south east of France, an extraordinary thing is happening. The Benedictine monks and sisters are producing a high-quality wine called Via Caritatis so they can glorify God. The region which they are using for their vineyards is significant for their Catholic faith, as it was the site of the first ever papal vineyard in the 14th century when the papacy was moved from Rome to the south of France.
EWTN's Colm Flynn travels to France to meet the monks, and find out what is driving them to mix their contemplative life of prayer and silence, with the hard work and labour of running a vineyard.

Les vins de l'abbaye du Barroux sont tous délicieux et parfois exceptionnels, comme le Lux rosé. J'espère pouvoir goûter prochainement les vins nommés Abbayes. J'envoie tous mes encouragements et mes meilleurs voeux aux moines et aux vignerons Caritatis. En plus, ces vins sont quasiment des monuments de l'histoire de France et d'Europe puisqu'ils sont directement reliés au premier Pape d'Avignon, Clément V, de son vrai nom Bertrand de Goth, archevêque de Bordeaux, qui était propriétaire d'un vignoble qui porte aujourd'hui son nom à Pessac, Château Pape Clément.

C'est vraiment un élixir. Le vin est un peu cher mais un excellent rapport qualité/prix. On ne peut pas tout avoir.
