Floro: Berkley Vanish. 100% Fluorocarbon Leader Material
1/2 Dowel 4ft long cut into 3x 13" long sections
Cut notches into dowel
String up Floro 40lb, 50lb, 60lb
Boil in Water for 2 mintues
Shock with Cold water

Excellent quick tip video to start the new mini series. One could tack a small nail or use a small screw in hook 🪝 for a tie off point. I definitely will have to try that and get to tying soon once I get more things moved into the new house 🏡 I haven’t been able to tie flies for 3 years. Thanks 🙏 for sharing this Gunnar and I look forward to seeing more of this series.

I use a section of old carbon arrow, pack sections of the mono do the boiling/ ice water in big baking pans not only does it work well. It stores them easy in the drawer too.

Great video! I’ve made mono straights but will now make fluorocarbon straights. But, I noticed your bows so tell me about them. I shoot longbows.

Small rubber band on the end of the dowel should save having to tie off and keep everything in place
