You have mastered the pearl cell technique and once again you bend the paints to fit your vision! Amazing pearl pour, Cathleen! Just gorgeous, and stunning in it's simplicity of color palette yet intricate pattern! Always you fascinate me with your technique and composition! You are able to achieve more with negative space than anyone else I know of!

Watching you paint make me itch to get to my paints! I have struggled to get some pearl cells and it looks like they just roll over for you, lol. At the end, you have another beautiful piece to add to the 'fantastic results" column. PUFFY! You were right. I love my PUFFY 2000! Paint on!!!

I am absolutely in love with this one. Now, I will go and try that and it will look like a cow rolled over in the painting!! 🤣😂🤣. You artists on KZfaq make it look oh so easy. Well, I’m not gonna give up yet, but I’m still wondering what I’m gonna do with all of these paintings! 😆 😅 The bottom line is, I am having so much fun and I love watching all of you wonderful artists paint. That’s about the coolest monochrome! Loving those bigger boulder like pearls. I have a question - as a beginner, I was about to do a monochrome with just the white pearl paint and black. I did one with color and black and loved how I achieved large white puffy clouds/pearls show up in the black. Why didn’t this happen with your black? I’m definitely going to add a metallic pewter, too, now.

The base coat is Behr Satin Enamel house paint and Artist Loft Soft Body Black. They are mixed the same as the pour colors. The recipe is in the description box Lisa

Yes for your base coat you can use Satin Enamel House paint mixed with your pouring medium with water to a thin consistency I have a video coming tomorrow 8am to go over how I mix paints for the pearl pour technique 😊
