By the end of the year, his reputation & legacy would be forever tarnished. Perhaps one of the last times you could joke about Cliff Huxtable without having to reference the actor who created him. Anything involving him now has an asterisk by it (as in yes, this was groundbreaking, but look at what was hidden all this time).

Unlike other ppl who thought TBBT could've ended later or earlier, I totally believe it ended perfectly, just the way it is, at season 12. I adore the casts so much for being really close and professionals at the same time. 12 long years with no issues, just seven incredible actors who love and enjoy what they were doing.

Kidding aside though... Jim brought a lot of mannerisms from his own personality to play Sheldon. While it did good for the show, unfortunately now the Sheldon Cooper attributes are also Jim Parson attributes. I bet in a few decades, people will look at an 80 year old Parsons and go- "Hey! That's Sheldon Cooper."

Same story with Harry Potter, Frodo, Captain Jack Sparrow, Jack (from Titanic) Rose (from Titanic) Mr Bean, Dolores Umbridge, Dakota Johnson ('The 50 shades girl'), Micheal Gambon ('wizards'), Lizzy McGuire (Hilary duff) Robert Pattinson/Taylor Lautner/Kristen Stewart (Twilight) etcetera. That's just the price you pay for the success.

He wrote TWO books - accorsing to a channel. First one is called I am not spock. Guess what's the name of the second one? I AM SPOCK! That's the name. And for an actor that did a lot of spock cameos all over the years and had the final saying in casting Spock for the tv remake, I think he didn't dislike the character at all. Otherwise he would refuse to participate in its growth. (Although he has never been on TBBT and now it cannot because he is dead but maybe that is due to the fact he was much older and no longer was able to. How knows?).
