your advice is more than welcome: although I haven't had any sort of problems as of now I was considering buying earplugs to protect my ears and clear some noise as well... drowning my face into monitors and such is something that happens once or twice an year

I didn't have a problem till I was 55. You know like after a concert, when you go home and go to bed and your ears are still ringing, I have that all the time time now. A lot of musicians have it...

A lot of musicians have it and more and more people will as we headphones now and world keeps getting louder. No cure but there's getting used to it, relaxation and meditation helps. I just try to mention it when I can because for some people it can be quite alarming and scary...

You can screw a 50 Hz Tranzformer on the guitar and move the iron core. Maybe you can play deeper than the kickdrum ;-)

rRnning amp extremly loud and standing close to it is the easiest way to go I guess but he might use pedals or something.

Geezer Paakkunainen u should check out the boss fb-2 feedback booster pedal or something like that. Just google for it and there will be some results, no doubt

That's a fuzz pedal pushing an already cranked amp. Any Big Muff style fuzz pedal with the gain cranked will oscillate like that if you are too close to the amp - controlling it is just about knowing where to stand.
