The story of princess Mononoke who was raised in the forest by wolves has always struck me. She's fighting to protect nature against humans who are destroying the ancient worlds. The feeling of not being understood and of finding more comfort in the forest than in humans is a feeling many of us, myself included, are familiar with. The lyrics always get me: 'The only ones who know your true heart are the forest spirits, only the spirits' ⽰
Especially in the times we're living through right now, it's understandable to feel hopeless, misunderstood and like we're fighting a losing battle. But what the movie teaches us is that there is always hope when we build bridges and stick together. And that although the world is changing and we'll have to let go of a lot, together we can move into a new era!
