Que bonito rifle. Me arrepiento de haber vendido mi monotiro. Lo desmontaba y me cabía en una mochila.

A doubtless copy it would appear of a Merkel K series Merkel or similar Blaser or custom Ferlach maker kipplauf. The originals cited range from precision and beautiful factory rifles to works of artful hand craftsmanship purpose-built for craggy alpine hunting. Originals are light as a feather, fit disassembled in a climbing pack, and drive tacks at long range. At least some examples from Sabatti may actually meet functional expectations set by the originals. The problem in the US, however, is that they sold a bunch of cheap double rifles to us many so inaccurate as to be useless. Caveat emptor. I MIGHT buy a Sabatti. But only one I personally held, carefully examined, and shot first.

Sabatti has been building firearms in Gardone Val Trompia since 1674. To this day, the Sabatti family owns and operates the company. The Sabatti family has nothing to learn from others. Modern firearm making is originally Italian. Rimmed calibres, the calibres for break-open rifles, are not long-range calibres. As for double-barrelled rifles, the barrels are regulated for shot placement up to a specified distance.
