You went crazy with the Kami Band intro, that's cool, you probably gonna like _"Rondo Of Nightmare"_ with Mischiefs Of God intro too, there's not so many Kami Band intros so enjoy the few with got from them. Good thing you already know the girls, this is one of the most accurate exponent of their kawaii-metal genre they created, but this live compilation doesn't made justice, i think is fine for avid fans but for first time watch i always recommend full live clips performance from the same venue, you can also watch live at Budokan 2014 with subtitles here on YT. ⚡ 💀 💕 / 🏃‍♀️👹 So this cute song is about playing a game that is kind of like hide-and-go-seek, with some tag and blind-man's bluff mixed in. Pursued by an "Oni"" which is a kind of Japanese Ogre. If not a real monster, than at least someone pretending to be one in order to terrify children. Fun times! Kawaii Metal! : ) If much of their charm is in the blending of the cute and the brutal, this song is a great example. While 'Megitsune' is still my favorite, this has one of the cutest choreographies. They performed this song quite a bit in 2017, but not since. The last time I saw this one was in Chula Vista, California when they were on tour opening for Korn.

Good reaction. 'Catch Me If You Can' is the best metal song about playing a game that's a sort of cross between tag, blind man's buff and hide & seek I've ever heard. It is the perfect mix of the two extremes with the brutal instrumentals and the sweet vocals - and the game they are playing, they're playing with an Oni (a sort of Japanese ogre). The growling vocals (they are on a backing track) are the Oni asking things like "Are you ready?" and the best response has to be "Maada da yo" (No, not yet) while doing a running away from an Oni dance. This was a compilation video from several different shows, the audio was from their Wembley Arena show in 2016. The Kami Band that night were (in order of solos) the late and very great Mikio Fujioka (RIP), Takayoshi Ohmura, BOH with his 6 string bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums. This is the perfect blend of brutal metal with the sweet vocals and choreo from the girls.

In the latest world tours from June 2019 through March 2020 (prior to the pandemic), they performed live 20 times in USA, 19 in EU/UK/Russia and 1 in Taiwan in addition to 15 in Japan. This year, they carefully restarted their activities and completed 10 concerts here in Tokyo taking very strict countermeasures against infection. Girls are now matured and yet their performance is energetic and more sophisticated. Please continue to explore BABYMETAL.

Mikio, the first guitarist, plays in a style I think of as circular or round. Takayoshi, the second guitarist, is more straight-ahead shredmaster. And Boh is otherworldly.

Good reaction. And not only has it not bothered me that you stop and rewind the instrumental solos, but that I like it. This song is the first I saw from Babymetal. It has such a fun choreography (I would even say hypnotic), they are so sweet and the atmosphere so "¨kawaii" that you don't realize how brutal the music is. It is one of the musically speaking, most brutal songs that I know.

Actually Babymetal shows used to start earlier than other rock/metal bands, because the girls were underage and by law not allowed to work late at night. Babymetal started over 10 years ago at the age of 12 and 13. So they are ladies now. Maybe you'd want to know about bassist BOH and his influences. From BOH Hedoban (vol.4) interview (translated): Q : I don't know much about instruments, but your double-handed tapping gives me awe. Is it an influence from Billy Sheehan? B : Billy Sheehan is one of them. Another is a jazz bassist Victor Wooten. He's the man, even he did one song with tapping only. As for tapping we see a right hand first, but a left hand does pulling and hammering, doesn't it? I misunderstood these were also one of tapping techniques, so I only do them by my right hand... it might sound odd to say "only". For me, doing tapping is the same as playing the piano. My fingers tapping in double-handed play are hammers in the piano. So I just imagined playing the piano in the middle of my solo play for Babymetal at Budokan, as an example. I made my sound with multiple fingers on multiple strings, contrary to the guitar. It is very much different from conventional tapping. Q : Who do you think are great bassists other than Billy Sheehan? B : John Myung is astonishing as I mentioned. And it might be controversial... I like Robert Trujillo as a most successive bassist in Metallica. His stability is surprising. I saw them playing at Summer Sonic, he looked cohering other member playing free. And his play has so much power as his appearance (laugh). But it is not brutal but sensitive. He had played so funky with a lot of slapping as shown in his former career (in Infectious Grooves), but now in Metallica he plays so much differently which fascinates me. He plays in different styles even he doesn't like.

After 2017 (Yava intro at Fox Festival) They stopped with Kami Band solos. Probably because they were getting too much attention and taking some of the light from the girls. The first guitarist, Mikio Fujioka, died at the beginning of 2018 from injuries sustained from a fall.

This Reactor was as entertaining as BabyMetal and their Band...Fantastic! Loved it! I want to go to a concert with MONQ TV!

After watching you go crazy with the two guitar solos, I had a funny feeling you'd go absolutely nuts when Boh bashed that bass!!! LMAO!!! However, it's a pity that you reacted to a compilation video; I despise almost all comp videos because the sound is certainly overdubbed, and the changes in costume and venues can be somewhat disconcerting. In my view, comp videos are an insult to both viewer and band because it doesn't really show them in their true performance, just a series of "highlights" stitched together. But stay with Babymetal; they have a LOT of good music, some damn fine music videos, and some truly epic performances.

I actually rewound that intro. Hip hop yo. Hop hop. If you don't like this you suck. Just kidding. Kind of O_o
