Named for Joel Monroe, the area's first postmaster, Monroeville was settled in the mid to late 18th century. The area was incorporated as Patton Township in 1849 before becoming the borough of Monroeville on January 25, 1951.[4] Monroeville became a Home Rule Charter Municipality on May 21, 1974

I live in Oakmont. But have always loved the Monroeville/Murrysville area. Seriously hope to move out there one Day.

I grew up 🆙 in monroeville in 1983 and lived there until June 8, 2000 at age 16. It looks pretty much the same 22 plus years later

A buddy that I met online lives in the Pittsburgh area not Monroeville, but he is headed there for the Steel City Con. He actually lives elsewhere in West Mifflin. 24 minute drive by car. I was curious about the city. I never been to that part of country yet. I am in Kansas City, Missouri.
