This is sort of a prequel to their storyline from what I’ve gathered from theories. The flashbacks we see when Hyungwon is in the water are from their past music videos. The watch - has made Hyungwon the “time keeper”. He controls time and has mistakenly created multiple timelines trying to save his friends from various predicaments. He then somehow himself got lost in time, and the other members had to find him (the subway scene). If you watch the music film (Destroyer) you’ll see them looking for him. Their storyline is very multifaceted and open to interpretation, seasoned monbebes still don’t have the answers haha, like myself. But my conclusion is that this is how he began his journey as the time keeper, when he inherited his father’s watch. I suggest you watch their past MV’s such as All In, Dramarama, Destroyer to sort of get the feel for what I’m rambling about. Thank you for your reaction!

Someone else can probably offer more details but, basically Monsta X have a storyline that you can follow in some few of their MVs. I believe this one kinda gives the beginning and explains why Hyungwon starts time traveling (because his parents died) but it makes things worse for his friends instead of fixing it. A butterfly effect like story, basically... I like it when kpop groups commit to this concept lol. I'd suggest watching Dramarama (most of the "future scenes" are from it) and The Connect (the subway scene) to see more of this story while listening to dope songs. I probably forgot some things, sorry about that. (I'd also suggest watching all of their MVs in general)

The song "Find You" is a sequel to "Follow". It has a story line. The car with Jooheon in it flipping, the one with the umbrella in the road, the ken-do fighting between Wonho and Shownu, and the watch that was gotten from a time traveler are all from "Dramarama". The rooftop is from "Hero". My daughter and I tried to figure out which one had the subway. We couldn't figure which one that was. They are great at what they do. I just wish all of them were still there. Hopefully Jooheon will be back soon. I sure miss him. They have been doing all of these U.S. pre-tour fan meetings, different shows, and radio shows without him. I makes me truly sad. It was enough to lose Wonho.

this is like mini movie ver. Well I just understands the theories yesterday .. Fuhh it's hard but i still don't understand how Kihyun can be alive again in Destroyer mini movie ver. Btw let's appreciate rappers vocals too T O ^ Edit : WHAT I FEEL ABOUT THE VIDEO IS it's sad and I keep crying over it .. I guess I had a soft heart hahaha

I strongly recommend to Monsta X Find you (Animation) This video makes monbebes(monstaX fans) cry 100%... A lot of monbebes are depressed about wonho left. Still fight for wonho.. This find you animation refers to monbebes.
