Ok so this video is getting a lot more attention then I thought it would - so I’ll explain the situation if you are new and/or confused: At the start they didn't except him because he came into the competition half way through, when some trainees had already been eliminated. They saw this as unfair. It was harder on Jooheon and the other rapper #GUN because he was another rapper (their competition). They basically thought that he was free loading on the work that they had already done.

This is like when someone brings home a new puppy and dad doesn’t like it but then a few days later they find dad’s just cuddling the new puppy and spoiling it more than he does for the family lmao

I felt so bad for I.M when I watched No. Mercy I'm glad they love him now.

for an I.M stan, his no. mercy days videos are the least videos I would like to watch. It's hard for me to watch him suffering and looking rlly exhausted. He's my ult baby in kpop, the most precious and my treasure baby. And seeing him bullying his hyungs and turns out the most savage in the group made me forget the past, but history is history, it's already written and we can't change it so... yeah and besides he's now being adored, loved, protected and cared by his hyungs now, that's all that matter, and if you read my comment I'm sorry bcoz I think it's a waste of time bcoz I'm just, y'know saying what's on my mind and yeah I'll stop here, byedt.

In fact they didn't hate I.M . They hated the situation, the way things turned out to be and he was in the middle. This was a very good lesson for everyone to understand that some people are put in some difficult situations but it's not their fault.

They resented him so much when he came into the show. I mean I get where they were coming from wanting one of the eliminated rappers to come back, but it was so tough to watch. He always looked like he wanted to cry. Really seeing Shownu and Kihyun's relationship on No Mercy vs. after is interesting too.

I.M's position in the group when he first joined the show reminds me of Chanwoo in iKON. BOBBY was the only member that welcomed the new people, everyone else was really angry which makes sense. Now both groups love their maknae to bits!

sorry but Yoonho, can we talk about him? He was the only one that bowed when I.M came into the room. He was the only one who comforted I.M back at the dorm, whilst they sat on the sofa & he explained why it's hard for all the other trainees to accept him. He cleared the air and made I.M feel better. He said 'we should work together because we're the youngest.' I love Yoonho. He has a heart of gold. Be like Yoonho. I'm so glad he is part of the talented group VAV now!

To be honest.... No Mercy is one of the hardest for me to rewatch... I avoided it as much as possible because it just hurts. But no matter what I do to avoid it, it’s already in the past. The members have great a friendship and they have moved forward and over the barrier they had during the show. Seeing how they all became close also made me accept the past and move over it. I’m really thankful of the bond they have now and I know that the boys care for each other. I know they will stay together as 7...

I hope people realize that No Mercy was most likely edited to make the other contestants' reactions to Changkyun as harsh as possible. We only got to see a portion of their words and their feelings -- the parts that would cause the most drama and evoke the most emotion and earn the most views.

While changkyun didn’t deserve the cold atmosphere he was greeted and continuously given if I were in the members position I would be very upset as welll.

As someone who hasn’t watched No Mercy I knew that IM had a very difficult time, but not like this. To think that Jooheon actually used the word “hating” and saying that it’s basically all he could do made me think that they’ve all come a long way

everytime i look back on changkyun in no mercy, it makes me think that he is an EXTREMELY kind, forgiving, and strong person like really. i mean i understand why the others disliked him, but if i were him, i don't think i can even be friends with them after all the struggle and hatred. Poor IM when they first introduced him as the new trainee - he looked so apprehensive, nervous, scared and tired! I'm so glad he worked himself into Monsta X's hearts and has now become a vital beloved fellow member. It was so sad seeing him so down even when he won the No Mercy contest. That should have been one of his happiest moments but he was feeling so guilty for winning.

Fighting for MX. don't blame them, I think the situation is the bad one.

I really can't stand survivals for this reason: they create too much tension between the members and put them one against another, it gives me a lot of anxiety because-even though they'll eventually grow close-it's tiring to see them so pressed because they're not thinking of each other as future band mates, but as rivals.

Before and after videos are the hardest to watch in my opinion. These idols put themselves through hell and to watch the struggles to get where they are now is amazing. It is hard to understand the emotional rollercoaster these idols go through all for us fans. So I will only say STAN MONSTA X 😁😁😁😁FIGHTING

I just finished watching No Mercy and this video really helped me to calm down a bit. As I.M my bias I just can't help but think about how hard it was for him. And the fact that till this day ppl saying it's unfair. When it's absolutely not. The other two rappers beat the 1st one and he beat those other two. So whether he was from beginning or not he earned the place by talent. I hope people realise that. He deserves all the love in the world.

Kyunie is such a strong person

I've always thought that the hyungs now shower I.M. with so much affection because they always felt bad about how they first treated him in 'No Mercy' - especially after they saw how hard I.M. works and cares for them (in between being so savage haha).

When I watched NO MERCY for the first time I was so sad because of I.M and now? After all that happened with Wonho... Him going solo and stuff... I can't imagine myself watching it ever again... I am so sad but also very excited for Woho's music .... I just love their friendship with Wonho and each other ..

The boys have been through alot. They were a group before MONSTAX, called NU BOYZ. They promoted with GUN, who was eliminated when I.M came in. I was a fan of them, when they were NU BOYZ, so I understand their anger. Not towards I.M, but towards Starship. GUN had already debut, when they put the group into No Mercy, so he was torn from the group, Hoonie's friend, since childhood, promised to debut together, to me Starship, gutted that friendship, just to make money. Dont blame the boys, you have to see it from their point of view, they were really hurt. Putting I.M in that situation was wrong of the company, how much hardship, they had to go through, to reach their brotherhood they now have, was alot.

They had gone through so much. Together and individually. Once a hard time give them a little hate feeling. Now, they are together. I can understand there feelings that time. And I can also understand there feelings now. Why they have to go through so much. It was finally time for them to be together happily. All hardships they had was going to pay off... Stay strong monstax. It still not time for you all to have good ending. But they will have happy ending soon.

He handled it incredibly well. It’s easy to forget he was still a teenager when all of this went down and despite none of it being his fault he was empathetic about how the others were feeling and wasn’t bitter about the way they were acting even though he really did have the right to be. He was patient and he let them see the real him slowly and they accepted him eventually. I have so much respect for how gracefully he dealt with the terrible situation he was put in by the producers when he was only 18

it upsets me to this day that the rest of them were so immature about i.m joining no.mercy cause clearly he was after the same dream as them. they all wanted the same thing but painted i.m as a villain cause he wanted to pursue his dreams and sadly he took a contestants spot that was eliminated. they all just wanted to debut at the end of the day... even when he won his spot in monsta x he looked so ashamed of himself like he didn't deserve to his spot yet he worked hard like the rest of them. they also ignored him in the show a lot which made it even worse for him cause he couldn't even talk to anyone. he instantly became my bias after watching that show. i also don't hate the rest of the members, i know things are good now but just thinking back to no.mercy days makes me sad.

It hurt so much to see how it was when Changkyun first joined them, but for even Jooheon and Minhyuk to say "I hate..." or "I don't want to be friends with him" It's just...when you see their relationship now and how far they've come, it's almost unbelievable ❤️

I just took the courage to watch the 10 episodes yesterday. And I understood why they acted that way but I was fuming mad at the producers of the show, why do they have to put I.M in that situation where everyone named him as the boy who came mid-through. It was surely a tough journey and battle for him and I just cant hide my tears and the pain it brought me huhuhu. I.M had just his head down throughout the announcing of the chosen members. It was so sad for me to watch him went through that. 😢 now everytime I watch videos and stuffs about Monsta X, I just cant imagine Minhyuk and I.M being not a member of it. And everytime I see them smile and hear them laugh and just witness their love for each other, the friendship they built and the family they see when they are together just melted my heart. They all deserve the blessings they have been receiving. Now my Love for Monsta X just grew bigger and bigger. I just love how humble and kind they all are. 😢 And I Miss Wonho each day that passes by. And after watching the show, it breaks my heart more on how Wonho coped up with and survived for his dream, and in just a snap starship took him out. I just hope we will see OT7 soonest. I never saw 'No Mercy' so it's hard for me to imagine the members not being head over heels for their baby. Especially between him, Joohoney & Hyungwon. It hurt me so much to see No.Mercy because I saw him when I already knew Monsta X It was painful to see the rejection of the six by Changkyun, even if he already knew that they loved each other today even as long as he did see the face of the maknae all sad and lonely. But he is currently the most caring and consensual member of the group.

i just finished watching no mercy and i felt so awful for kyun i think i cried the whole of episode 8. i understand why the boys felt like they did and i think it’s so so cruel of the producers and management to do what they did but i’m so happy they opened up to him quickly and realised how incredible the is, watching this helped me not feel as sad anymore 🥺

Honestly, NO.Mercy reminds me of another Meet produced survival show MyDOL, where VIXX eventually debuted from it. In that show Hyuk plus another trainee was added to the show and didn't exactly get a warm welcome when the others saw them at the shared dorm.
