Ok, here's the thing you need to know about Monsta X - Monsta X are known for their diverse sound and style, whilst always maintaining that Monsta X flavour throughout... if you're a Monbebe, otherwise everyone has a stereotype that their sound is loud and hype, because a lot of their Korean title tracks are selected for high impact performance purposes, because that is one of Monsta X's many strengths. The X in their name is the mathematical X - an unknown variable, there to tell us from the get go that they will always experiment with sound and style and not limit themselves sonically or linguistically. They are extremely versatile artists when you dive in past the surface, as their music is incredibly eclectic in style, genre blending and language (Korean, Japanese and English, plus a little splash of Spanish here and there) They released their second Full English album The Dreaming on the 10th of December, only a few weeks after releasing their Korean mini album No Limit, which Rush Hour is the title track to, both albums are incredible and showcase their range. Their English songs have a different vibe to their Korean and Japanese work, and that allows them to never remain stagnant and complacent, they are a 7 year old group that continually improve and expands on their skillset, and broaden their discography (keeping it fresh and exciting for Monbebe) This thirst for freshness and range has shaped them into the incredible all rounders in the industry that they are. At the end of the day THEY are the key factor to their music, the thing that links it all is THEM, THEY are the magical ingredient tying it all together. Monsta X have something for everyone, but so many people sleep on them. I hope that changes one day.

Monsta X have always said they do not want to be confined in a genre or musical box…they want to create their own sound and they did just that. They are one of the pioneers of the noisy, hard hitting sound they use for their Korean title tracks, which 4th gen groups are emulating nowadays. However, their discography is as diverse as it gets. They are never afraid to explore sounds and genre and put their own stamp in it, even Korean Trot. It’s funny how their Korean, Japanese, and English albums give different vibes but still inherently Monsta x. It helps that they have 3 members who writes, composes, and produces. Their 2 English albums so far are no-skip masterpieces. They said in a recent interview that although do not have full creative control in making their US releases but they definitely have input on what song gets included or not in the album and the overall sound they wanna make. They are amazing, talented musicians…definitely more than an idol group.

Their korean title track are hard hitting, some b sides are chill, their all english albums have a different vibe from the korean stuff. Their new english album is no skip but Blame Me and Dreaming are stand outs. Keep giving us more MX content please. Thank u!

Their album is amazing. This song is one of the songs I like the least (I still like it though) so I think you should definitely check it out. One song called The Dreaming, in particular, stands out. It's amazing!!!

to get a feel of their vibe- i recommend that you listen to their title tracks from each album they released like Dramarama, Follow etc. Also react to Kiss or Death. They also have a story line but i will let the other monbebes explain that. I love your honest reaction.

Monsta X said in the beginning the X was for all Genres. The album sounds nothing like this. Every song is a hit in its own way, and I was so surprised by the touching title track, it reminded me of some of their slower meaningful Korean tracks. The lyrics are akin to The Climb.. They are not quite beholden to a sound despite what people think. That's why people can't figure them out. All their music just slaps. And in typical MX fashion, the lyrics are actually a lot innuendo than innocent for You Problem. I kinda hate Minhyuk hinted doesn't mean dance 🤣🤣🤣🤣 . Then you're like oooo crap. I wonder what shape was before lololol . I think listening to it without the video made me realize I can play this on repeat

How did I miss this reaction? 😭😭 I know that y'all reacted to Jooheon latest MV for Psyche, but he has 2 more MVs from that album that I'd love to see y'all react to. Intro: Ambition is a compilation of 4 stage intros. Smoky is so good, he poured his heart out about a time where he struggled with his mental health. He & I.M have a stage together titled Sambakja. You talked about their gangsta sound & this is it!!! It's a live performance, but has English subs. I think y'all would love it so much! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/js6hl6Wcq6nLYI0.html
