This is a great show yes everyone complains about the adds but he'll you need them to sponcer you if you use the equipment these guys use. Capt. Mike has to hold every fish that comes in the boat lol. However the crew always have a fun time picking at eachother while fishing that plus the great fishing makes for a great show. Plus I like all the adds there informational I just don't like the same ones over and over. I would love to fish with you guys keep up the great work.

Just curious, why the inline circle hook as opposed to a regular one? Awesome episode, AJ's by far my favorite fish to catch no matter what the size.

Hi Nick, since we intend to release all of the AJs, circle hooks catch in the corner of the mouth every time with little harm to the fish. - The VMC In-Line tournament circle hooks are perfect! - Capt Mike

Really love seeing all of your guys' videos. I want to move to Florida and become a guide after hs and you guys really give great tips on catching these fish. Whether it be off the reef, mat fishing for dolphin, or anything really. Before I found your channel I didn't know hardly anything about offshore fishing and you guys are part of the reason I aspire to be a guide in a few years, you guys just make it all seem so fun and exciting.

I know this is completely un related to the video but I am looking at buying a spinning reel for tuna popping in Venice Louisiana and am caught between the new Shimano Stella and the dogfight what's yalls opinions

I recently had a chance to fish the Daiwa Dogfight against about a dozen 50 lb plus Amberjack. Loved it, incredible smooth, hardcore, durable, silky smooth drag with a ton of drag pressure and plenty of line capacity. The Stella is an excellent reel but I would go Dogfight based on my last experience. - Capt Mike

We fish out of Hillsboro Inlet. Lighthouse Point FL. Almost all South Florida wrecks in the 200+ ft range will hold AJs, some just better than others. - Capt Mike

Florida Sport Fishing Filleted with skin off, one fillet I cut up into sections that I Panko crusted and fried. The other fillet I blackened and baked, put on sandwich and it was excellent.

You guys have some great vids Capt.Mike. I'd like to see a video on how NOT to catch AJs! I got over them many years ago but I do like to put young "tough" newb fishermen on a big one and watch them melt like butter on a grilled redfish fillet.

Florida Sport Fishing Thanks for the response Mike. I did not know it was also a TV show which would explain the ads but fishing to me is a sacred sport that has been around for thousands of years. To see it being made into just another sport of which sponsorships and what gear your running is all that matters pains me. I hope you can see that yourself is all I meant by the comment. If your interested you can check out my fishing videos. I just got back from visiting my old man in Rhode Island. Got some GoPro footage fishing with him on his boat. Its under my fishing playlist called "Fishing". Since the big stripped bass were not around, we aimed for smaller sea bass. Part 5 we couldn't keep them off our hooks ;)
