I like the accent color they chose but not for the belt. The belt is my least favorite fashion piece.

I received mine the other week and she really surprised me. When I first saw her, I felt incredibly underwhelmed by her design. While I thought it was pretty, I was hoping they'd have done more with her. However, in person, I think she's stunning. Yes, she's still simple, but everything works really well together. When her outfit gets hit by the sun, it shimmers so wonderfully Side note, when I was cutting her out of the book, I almost cut one of the wings off her bag. Thankfully, I was careful and double checked before I cut so everything is fine

Cleo is so stunningly gorgeous! Love everything about her, but the belt…the green color is what’s throwing me off. Looks like a hula hoop then a belt.

I really am baffled at the plastic accessories. What's the opposite of "classing up the joint"? Picturing her without the neon is serving such Egyptian revival. Ideal Cleo seems to be going for that old timey 20's vibe. Honestly, I think for the price, the accessories being chunky plastic is so eh. Imagine those same pieces but in a thinner metallic gold like her bracelet, with matching teal accents?

I like her a lot. I'm waiting for mine to arrive, but I'm thinking she might be my favourite. However, I am really hoping her face is good, because all three of my other HC dolls have defects of varying severity. I have seen some people get this Cleo with one eye smaller than the other. I see it a little on this doll, but that level would not bother me.

The controversy is kinda stupid, I believe it's because of the thinner lips? But Cleo was never based on a particular race, but egyptian hieroglyphs/sarcophagus/statues. Hell, none of the monsters are supposed to represent human races, just cultures.
