When I saw Frankie's hat, it looked like a biker hat with a lightening bolt to me. However, when I heard there was concern about the symbolism, I took the opportunity to research German WWII hats and hate symbols. I can see why the design of this hat upsets some people, even though I agree it was not intentional (even from just a corporate, monetary standpoint, Mattel would not do that). I encourage people to do their own research so they can make an informed decision about whether they want to purchase this doll and how they want to display them. You don't have to be Jewish to be concerned about potential Nazi symbolism, and it is not just something of the past. On the other hand, there is some ambiguity in this case.

I personally think your Frankie looks great! They got their eyes from two different donors so of course it won’t be perfectly the same shape! 👀 But yeah they look really good and I personally like the brighter white but I’m not a fan of the polypropylene hair! Won’t stop me for buying them though! 😁

as a jewish person, the nazi association never crossed my mind. i have uma canhoose from shadow high and bratz rock angels jade, who both have that style hat. i just see it as a staple of punk/biker fashion. the lightning bolt on the hat doesnt remind me of nazi sumbolism. i grew up being educated extensively about the holocaust and being taught about jewish religion and culture. to me, it's just a hat. i can understand why others would have issues with it, but in my personal opinion its not an issue.

Actually the doll having facial defects suits them since the character is supposed to be made from different body parts.

They looks so good and I want them bad. It’s dumb that they have poly hair for like no reason???? And they don’t have the graffiti on their prosthetic leg?? I was disappointed when I saw that because the graffiti would have looked SO good peaking out through those clear boots like in the promotional photos

i love this frankie, I actually used their second outfit with the jacket from their core doll + the "socks" from clawdeen's core doll for the doc marten-esque shoes

Her hat appears to be in the style of the old U.S. Army Air Corps, from WWII or Korea? When they came home from the war they formed motorcycle clubs & bonded. There's a picture of Marlon Brando in one. (The Wild Ones?) I'm a motorcyclist. 🙂🖐️ If you Google images the ss Nazi cap is different, where Frankie's chain is above the visor? The German hat is a raised band THEN the cap part. If you see them side by side it's very distinctly different. 👍

Frankie’s hat is supposed to be reflective of a lot of the biker style hats in the gay scene. I have one that’s similar in P.V.C but not looking so much like a uniform hat. I think maybe the logo on it & symbolism do that. If Mattel hadn’t put any logo on it, it might be different. I think she looks cute though.🖤
