I’m always struck by how much compassion Big Rich has for owners that have to surrender their wet pets. It’s easy to fall into judging people who give up their pets (especially in this day and age) but truth is life happens. It’s really nice to know people like Big Rich are out there making life a little more forgiving.
@Ealsante
@Ealsante 4 жыл бұрын
A lot of the time it's not even the owners' fault. They get sold a cute three inch catfish and nobody bothers to tell them it will eventually be three feet long!

@@Ealsante And on the other hand you should do your own research. Ignorance is no excuse for lack of research. Do you buy things without doing your own research? Yes it is always the owners fault Don't blame people for your own short comings. Geez.

If the person doesn't know how big the purchased fish will get, then it's likely that they don't know the specific species requirements before the purchase either, or *maybe* even general fish care information (you just hope they at least look into it after the purchase at some point and that things will be okay in the end).

@Camo Dude, get rid of the Discus' man. I'm picturing a gnarly 55 Gallon with a few juvenile largemouth bass & a sweet mossy oak shadowgrass background on it for you. What do think?
@uncleknife9887
@uncleknife9887 4 жыл бұрын
@Camo Dude Awesome man. I bet your daughters love their fish & that's what's important. I used to have problems with fish dying & learned the single most important thing in keeping fish alive is, DO YOUR WATER CHANGES. It's about a 1/2 hour a week & it sucks, but if you do it regularly, even when you really don't want to, you'll always be glad you did. Do a gravel vacuum when you do it and youll trip out on how much funk comes up the spout, it's pretty gross...anyway brother, sorry for the rant, just tryin to be a good mofo. best of luck, go easy pal!!

Ya know it's amazing how some people are exactly what ya see in these videos. Got a chance to help Rich and Tracy not too long ago when they went for a second run to rescue fish from a huge pond that was getting filled in by an airport and they were even cool enough to go out there way to pick me up so I could help. Kind of expected them to be a little different off camera but no, not at all. Amazing people do still exist and was awesome to get to help out such a great cause 👍👍

Lol I just saw this with KZfaq recommendation on September 9, 2020. The pond should be the focus point. It look so traquile. Once the camera pane to show other Overcrowded aquarium, especially the large koi pacing back and forth like a maximum security confinement, it get depressing.
@miniyes8908
@miniyes8908 3 жыл бұрын
@@condorX2 it is disappointing, but this isn't the fishes permanent home I believe. Ohio fish rescue is a fish rescue, if you didn't know and they adopt fish that have gotten to big for people's tank, they say that they regularly give out fishes to people who are willing to take the fish or public aquariums. So don't be sad about those fish.

What an amazing man and the most AMAZING collection of fish I have ever seen in one place - I take my hat off to him for what he and his family do for fish!! and you can see that he loves it. I just wish I could visit but I live in the UK. So, thanks for going in and videoing and sharing. I bought 2 little gold fish from a pet shop in 2000, just tiny tiddlers but they just kept growing and growing so the tanks got bigger and bigger, sadly they are both gone now but I had them for 15 years - Thanks again for sharing xx
