A new adventure in a distant land
Renowned as the "Fierce Flame of Kamura” since the events of Monster Hunter Rise, you must set sail to uncover the cause of a terrible threat facing a kingdom across the sea!
New enemies arrive, old foes return
Arriving in Elgado Outpost, you discover that the abnormal events threatening this kingdom are caused by Malzeno, Lunagaron and Garangolm - terrifying monsters known locally as the Three Lords. Deeper gameplay
Your trusty Wirebug returns and is more useful than ever, with the addition of new abilities for all 14 weapon types that bring a new level of flexibility and depth to the hunting action.
A colourful cast of characters

Glad slicing still works. Skills make sense. World/IB sets used to favor lower dps builds just so you could get through the quest without basing.

Spent so much time trying to get this gun and rarely use it. Gore Magala LBG is just so much more fun to play with run and gun with Rapid Pierce and Normal a much larger clip size. My go to LBG in rise was the Wildfire Slicer I do miss cutting tails but honestly the Long sword is better at that and really everything. I go back and forth between the 2 weapons because I enjoy using them both. But if I'm have a hard time with the LBG the Long Sword always gets it done. I do enjoy all the builds and I trying all the different LBG so Thank You for this one!

Great guide! I noticed you ate for marksman and temper before your hunt. I was under the impression that they don't affect slicing ammo. Would it have been better to go booster instead?

Great build will try it! Nice change from the standard Pierce and Spread builds most people are using for LBG, don't think I have seen anyone using Slicing or Sticky in Sunbreak so far...

I notice your recoil/reload stats are displayed in words such as "Very low" etc., where as for me it says "-3" there. Is this a setting thing I can change? If yes, how?

This is a really nice build! I was playing around with some talismans I had and found one with tune up lv 1 stun res lv 2 and a 3-1-1 slot got recoil down to smallest and was able to move a salvo deco to the talisman and free up the lv 4 slot on the head for evade extender 2. Another bonus I found was you can use the jyuratodus arms to maintain the slots and max out resentment for more power

I’m good on any build that requires to base for ammo it’s cool and I see what you’re going for, angbata11 has a very similar build that does higher dmg but I’ll stick to rapid pierce since it’s much more sustainable and still does amazing dmg.

With Spare shot and mixing Spread ammo you don't have to make any trips back at all. Especially if you use the silknind rapid fire which is just free bullets for one wirebug. If you're having to make extra trips you're probably playing it wrong. (don't mean this offensively or as a burn) Exception is like multi monster hunts. Then yeah, you'll need to restock.

Thank you for emphasizing the recoil down and silencer! For some reason, I could not get a similar fire rate with silencer and recoil down 3, but I added the tune up skill and was able to bump the fire rate up! EDIT: I didn't have the marksman skill equipped, which added recoil due to the other skill being selected :(

Dude , thanks a bunch! I was wondering why the hell my fire-rate is so slow even with recoil down 3 and silencer! Now I can spam slicing faster! Woop woop!

I don't know what's wrong but I still have a lot of recoil, even after putting on the silencer and having 3 recoil down.

Nevermind, I solved the problem. I was using Critical Firepower instead of Marksman. I'm an idiot. Awesome build man.

Ahh, I was gonna ask if CB was gonna update the SwitchAxe build now that he is farther in the game. He also seems to be straying away from Dereliction in his more recent builds. With all the health regen options(kushalas blessing, super recovery dango, gourmet fish, etc) I might have to build one. Either way, looking forward to the new builds. Idk why but the Nioh 2 builds will always be king idk why, it was just a super fun time.

I love slicing I really do but one thing that always turned me off from it was it's ammo size which is 30 yes you can bring the berries to craft more but you can only carry 30 of those so in total you have 60 before you have to go back to camp and restock and these monsters take way more than 60 slicing ammo to take down and it just gets annoying having to make several trips back to camp to restock on ammo and berries in a single hunt

@@pumpkin7446 no you're right I wasn't playing slicing right I been using this build recently I still end up having to restock slicing during hunts but spare shot does help alot (when it decides to proc sometimes I get lucky and it'll proc like 4 times in a row) and using both spread and shrapnel in between just wish the Sergios lbg had rapid on something else other than slicing then it be perfect

Piercing in Sunbreak get White hits = not dmg looks like Teostra is Immune. U can Slicing ubuse for this Guy.

so, i never played with slicing ammo, in World i hear that it was super op and they nerf it to the ground, apparently in Rise they also nerfed it, but i decided to try it now after all nerfs.... it is insane how strong it is... people say that long sword is no brain easy win super op and need nerf... but slicing... omg... and while we in this topic - put sticky on this list also XD that is what should consern people, not long sword.

Isn't slicing the most hated multiplayer weapon ever in MH ？CB knows what he's doing , but I believe there are always noobs that bring slicing to multiplayer and tripping everyone for the all hunt.

Does slicing still flinch players? They took that out in World but I haven't playtested with it in Rise recently.
