Monster Hunter Stories Remastered
Playthrough | Part 12: Menace in the Sands
Remember when I mention that trouble's about to ensue. Guess what? There is.
We head for Trese Desert and head for a Hunter Base. Turns out that there are trouble in the sands. Sand cyclones are emerging. Now we got to hunt the one responsible. But it has us facing off against some dangerous foes. At this point you may need to get better armor and gear because what you have may not be up to. First you face off with a Daimyo Hermitaur and this guy loves to counterattack.
The second enemy you got to fight is a Barroth. The Barroth is no big but we learn that it was a Cephadrome that is responsible for the sand cyclones. We return back and explain to Reverto but it's here we meet Dr. Manelger and his bumbling understudy Itsy-Bits. Apparently it seems he's found a way to control monsters with some kind of device. He shows off a Barroth that is under the doctor's control. This alone terrifies everyone as manipulating monsters into servitude goes against the laws of nature. It's totally absurd.
So we go after a blighted Cephadrome. It's a tough foe but not an impossible one. Just watch out for it's Charged Stinger. For one turn it'll hide and then strike in the second turn and it hurts like hell. Once it goes down, the doctor is peeved. Peeved we're able to beat it. But things go south as their device malfunctions causing the Barroth to rebel. You now have to face Barroth EX and this one is tough. You may need to prepare to survive.
We take it down but from out of nowhere, Cheval and his Rathian appear to take it down. We prevent him from finishing the job and that's enough to realize that they don't see eye to eye. The village elder shows up and upon seeing this Barroth, sees what Riders are doing is wrong. The others agree but Reverto sees otherwise. He sees the Riders as a means of preventing an oncoming disaster. It looks like things are about to get intense.
We're going to face off against a tougher threat but we got to prepare. That's happening in Part 13.
