In previous MH games, the guild would remove the parts from the monsters in a way that was non-lethal, and then return them to the wild (which implies you don't get the *full* skull), but the Research Commission *usually* ends up killing their captured monsters anyway. Surprisingly the PC port of Rise is really well detailed. The game already looked good on switch due to the RE engine, so with a few tweaks to the resolution it looks and runs great.
