Not long ago they were still using cars, but I assume it's cheaper to haul dirt, and safer for the crew to clean it up. Give it up for big business.

@@trm4life still though, it completely takes away from what monster jam was originally meant to be, it seems to be too much like all these other dirt racing competitions. Monster jam back in the day was different because it had unique obstacles and crush cars. Now every monster Jam show I’ve been to these past couple of years, it’s the same exact track whether it be in a arena or a stadium (same track but on a bigger scale). Idk didn’t mean to go on for so long but that’s what’s on my mind

@GC350z yeah. Back in the day things were designed to last, and movies had to use real props and explosions. Now everything is made cheaply and replaceable (though our recycling programs haven't been improved since 1996) and movies use cgi for everything. The modern age has a tendency to disappoint.

Trouble I have with these two announcing is that they CONSTANTLY talk over each other, which absolutely ruins the viewing experience

what do you expect? They aren’t gonna be perfect and no one will. Its common for them to accidentally talk over each other and it’s what makes commentating fun because it shows their excitement and how much they wanna communicate with new and old fans that know the sport well or aren’t much of so familiar with it.

I do Roblox Monster Jam tours, and sometimes I'll get called for commentary. And one of the drivers in the tour (who is also a commentator), likes to talk over me. But it's WAAAY more annoying than the commentary here.

@Tristen Ortiz pretty sure if you watch almost any other sport, the talking over one another is at an absolute minimum. Usually there is a lead commentator with any others being reactive or filling in the gaps or they have some way if interaction off mike to let the other know they want to come in with something. I get that during exciting moments it can get a bit manic but Colt just constantly jumps in when John is mid sentence.
