Monster-Mania 58 (March 2024): Meetups, Autographs, and Fun!!

I had a blast once again at Monster Mania. Such a fun horror focused con in Cherry Hill, NJ. I’ll be at another con this coming weekend so I couldn’t go too crazy this weekend. Had a great time though. Also got the absolute pleasure of meeting up with ‪@beardedfilmguy‬ and ‪@Talesfromtheshelf‬ which are both awesome dudes. We’ll definitely be trying to work in a future shopping trip to Archive at some point.

Thank you! Yeah Jane was great in person. She hardly does cons and I heard she was appreciative with people, but she was fantastic in our experience with her.

That looks so much fun. Would love it if we got something like that in the UK. I'd have got a Starship Troopers print signed since Michael Ironside, Dina Meyer and CVD was there.

If I had more money with me I would’ve definitely grabbed more autographs and pictures including the Starship Troopers cast. That’s such a fun movie!

Yayyy! I mentioned on insta I was excited when you said you were making a YT video for this and you did not disapoint! Very cool that Jane Levy took a photo of you and very lucky you got to meet her as I heard she got sick and couldn't come Sunday. I feel bad for her as people said she was trying her hardest not to get sick and it still happened!

I’m glad you enjoyed it. I had a fun time so already can’t wait for this weekend for the next convention. Yeah it’s bummer Jane got sick. She doesn’t really do the con circuit and I heard she was kinda apprehensive with people on the Friday, but she was wonderful with me on Saturday morning. Hopefully she keeps doing future appearances, but I know cons aren’t everyone’s thing. Lots of celebrities avoid them like the plague.

Awesome. Autographs. Looks like a blast. I don't do to many cons. Anymore . Use to do the rock and shock every year. When it was around . An this year. Doing silver scream in the fall finally. There always so much I want. An its so overwhelming and expensive. Since I have no will power lol

I had a good time at MM 58. I also met Jane Levy. I usually go twice a year if I can, and I started going in 2003. Fun, but expensive.

This con used to be soo much fun. But I agree , now it’s just gotten too big and the lines can get crazy. They need to relocate it. Prices keep rising too.

I need to check out the Oaks, PA one since that’s actually in a convention center. This con needs that added space to breathe at this point. They’re loyal to the hotel, but it’s crowded at this point.

how much do the autographed posters cost ?

I brought the posters with me. At their tables they typically only have 11x17 and 12x18 mini posters as choices along with standard 8x10 pics. The autograph cost though varies so much depending on who get. Everyone here was I think $60 which is ballpark lower end for cons. I think $40 is about lowest I see these days for someone with name recognition. Higher end people can cost WAY WAY more unfortunately.
