The body style made for a perfect retro "Woody" and the chrome just gave it all a touch of class. Senior can absolutely turn drab into fab. An amazing transformation with little subtle details that will now turn second looks into a stare. Was cool as a 4x4 but the vinyls and chrome took it a step beyond.
@giovannigiorgio4622

People when you put a tire on ALWAYS do the Lugs in a star pattern it aligns the wheel and sets the wheel weight to the hub more evenly, also if the tire isnt perfectly aligned it will pull the tire on for you and set it in the right spot saving you a wobbly ride, and destroying the hub.

In addition, I was shocked to see them starting the lugs with a drill. Recipe for disaster.

@tomh9391
@tomh9391 2 жыл бұрын
Technically on the Chevy axles with a 6 lugs you would do a double triangle, the star pattern works on 4 and 5 (7 too on dumb ass fords) . Chevy in Toyota 6 lugs do double triangle and an eight lug you do a double square and do him an opposite direction, put weight of the vehicle back onto Axel and torque to spec, always check the recommendation of the lug nut itself or the vehicles OEM recommendation because with those six lugs it could be anywhere between 100 foot-pounds and 130ftlbs.

@@joshuagibson2520 With those battery powered impact guns they have a lot more trigger control than an air compressor impact gun and air compressor half inches gun just pulls up way too fast in order to get lined up if you have it on a socket with one of those battery powered impact you could control the throttle to slow enough points where you could tell whether it's catching it right or not and catch it before you gall the thread, minimum working speed of a half-inch air gun like my Mac gun would be roughly about 500 RPMs at the slowest and that's kind of messing your tulip by opening up the air valve on the handle way too much and loring air pressure to wear doesn't function correctly from messing with it. I have a Milwaukee fuel 1/2 inch 18v that i can opperate at 71 rpms and its got a power selection switch. I'm an ASE certified technician at work in the shop and I use those everyday to pull tires off and run the lugnuts back on and I hear that same comment all the time and it cracks me up because it comes from people who are paying me to do it and I do it every day and they have never taken the time to actually pick one up and try it
@joshuagibson2520
@joshuagibson2520 2 жыл бұрын
@@tomh9391 I I wouldn't even try it with a little 1/4 inch impact. Regardless of variable speed and control. I'm a life long machinist though and I'm a little weird about threads and such.

My dad almost died 2 months ago to this day, but after a healthy recovery and only losing his big toe and the ball of his foot, we were thankful they didn’t have to take his entire leg. Which brings me to your incident, Im happy and thankful your dad was there for you, to save your life. I was in the other seat I had to save my Dads life. But he is still recovering doing extremely great, but the bond that I see in videos is the same I see with my dad and me! It’s way stronger 💪🏻 ! If you see or read this , your videos keep me positive and strong. Thank you. I Also fallow Kentucky ballistics, but my dad reupholsters so the cars have always got me lol good bless and stick a thumb in it!

I the 90's, my Dad and I put a 1951 Chevy pickup body on a 1971 4WD Blazer chasis, it could go places other trucks didn't have a chance. I drove it daily for years. It's not running now, but I hope someday my son and me can get it going again, just don't have the money for another engine and other parts, but one day I hope to see it on the road again, maybe even my grandson will get to drive it someday. I enjoy seeing you guys spending time together doing something you enjoy, I will cherish the memories of my Dad and me building that truck forever.

If you mix a little dish soap with some water in a spray bottle and spray it on the surface your putting the vinyl on you can lay out the vinyl and move it around while your putting it on...

Finally someone that has done this before. Ex bodyman here and this is exactly how we did it in the 70's & 80's when woodies were still popular. Didn't use spray bottles, just mixup a bucket of soap suds, spread the suds on the panel. Lay the wood grain on top of the suds and you can slide your vinyl were ever you want. When in position, start in the middle out with a squeegee. Once all the water and soap is out from under it, it sticks just fine.

Applying the vinyl would be easier if you'd used Knifeless tape. It comes in rolls and you can get it on Amazon for pretty cheap. All you do is run the lines like you want them like an outline, apply the vinyl over the top, grab an end of the knifeless tape and pull gently and it'll cut the vinyl to the lines you made. Makes is SO much easier when you can use the tape to make your pattern and work with it to get it just like you want then just cover, pull, and it cuts those lines to perfection. All in all, though this thing looks mean. All it needs now is buried in mud up to midway of the doors like a TRUE southern 4X4 enthuz does...haha.
