OMG LUCKY! I could've gone to that race, because I live in the Northeast, but I didn't, and we didn't even realise we could've gone until the race started. I wanted to go (because I am a JJ fan and this is his best track), but at least I am going to the Pocono race on June 5th, which should be even more exciting wit those tight turns :P

As an Earnhardt fan the hope followed by disappointment really hurt. Had it cleared and Mears decided an 18th driver should be involved I guess.

BrokenGames|Road to 300! Does NASCAR change the rules every week? Wouldn't Dale have won Dega last year and have 10 championships? Wouldn't he have 14 Daytona 500s. And Mears had the thing going straight until he slammed on the gas. You can see it.

Gemini Man If he was 4th he would've been in it too. Also Mears obviously goes straight but nails the gas and that's when he turns up the track. Not saying he did it on purpose but saying that he shouldn't have nailed the gas like that.

He is rather out of the loop and makes lots of mistakes (I would be lying if I said he didn't annoy me sometimes) but he has genuine passion for the sport, remember part of his over-exuberance is FOX giving Michael and him money to be crazy and over the top to appeal to the more Southern demographic.
