Giant waves caught on camera at Kinneret Lake, a.k.a Sea of Galilee. Is it possible that the same or even a bigger storm hit the disciples 2,000 years ago? Rhoda and I head to the shore to catch another storm, a cyclone, to see it with our own eyes.

We sailed on the Jesus boat on a very rough Sea of Galilee about nine years ago, in December. When we stopped to have prayer & worship, suddenly the waters grew very still. And it was calm until we finished. When the boat turned to start the journey back to the dock, the waters began to churn again and the rain came pouring down. An amazing experience that reminded us if the miracle from the Bible!

This reminds me of a sermon by Jon Courson who said that Jesus actually said 'be muzzled" in the native tongue he spoke. Meaning it was demonic activity churning the sea. It sounds like the same thing happened to you maybe?

Absolutely astonishing! I sailed the Sea of Galilee in 2016, 2017 , & 2018. It was calm 16 & 17, however 2018 we kind of got an experience that the Disciples experienced we had to take a detour to get on the boat the sea was rough. The only thing was going through my mind was what the Disciples was thinking. We gave God praise in the middle of the storm. I wish I knew how to share the video with you guys. I think every Christian should experience a trip to Israel. You must visit several times, because there is so much to see. The Bible comes alive.

Sergio and Rhoda, thank you to share your faith, Jesus can indeed calm any storm we experience!!! I feel honored that you used my footage and grateful you provided the link, your documentary is very interesting as usual. Just to contribute to the discussion for me even a storm with one meter waves could be a serious danger or at least very annoying. They had small boats and no engine, imagine you have to row, and go in the opposite direction of the waves. Imagine that it is night and you can't see anything and you are tired after fishing. We must also remember that in the center of the lake the waves are always a little higher than on the shore. The Tabgha springs where you have been have a temperature around 24°C . This means that in winter they are warmer than the temperature of the lake and in summer colder, it is a perfect place to bathe in all seasons. The waterfall you touched is artificial, the waters gush out at the level of the lake, but there is a pipe that brings them up and causes the waterfall. The Sea of Galilee never freezes, the minimum water temperature does not go below 10°C. The outside temperature never reaches 0°C. Keep up the excellent job!!! Greetings from the Sea of Galilee

Yes, I used to go offshore about 100 miles in the gulf of Mexico on 100 foot crew boats, & even 2-3 foot waves will toss you around on a boat that size even. Not dangerous of course, but it will definitely toss you around on the boat. God bless!

This reminds me of a day I went on a lake to fish. I was about 19 and I went out alone in a metal canoe. Suddenly there was a storm! I'm scared of storms AND scared of water but figured I could go on a boat since I didn't plan on abandoning ship. Now I was scared the canoe would flip. I tried so hard to row back where I had come but the waves were so big the oars kept leaving the water and I was going further away from where I wanted to go. Finally I realized I was getting closer to another shore so I put the oars in the canoe and just went along with it. I ended up next to a random dock and tied the canoe there and then walked around the lake to the cabin I was staying in with my friends. I walked in and my friends went crazy with disbelief. 'You're alive! Oh my goodness! We were do scared. We even called the sheriff and they said it was too dangerous for them to go out to get you. But here you are all on your own!' It was really neat telling them about my little adventure. Just another time in my life where God spared me. Praise the Lord. As a saying I read says: Sometimes Jesus calls the storm, sometimes He calms His child. I had to be calm. It wasn't easy but thinking clearly helped me realize what I should do. And yes, I was praying out there! Praying hard, lol.🙌

Hi Sergio and Rhoda, I believe this is the first time to watch your videos. It is very nice to be on location in Israel, and see Bible sights there❣️Thank you for sharing your vision with us.🥰 You gave very good introduction to your goal at the Sea of Galilee. One thing to possibly take into consideration about what caused this raging storm: Jesus put the demonic world on notice while He traveled, ministered, healed, and taught! They were on their way across the Sea of Galilee to do just that, whether the disciples knew that or not, Jesus was about to cast out demons, many. I personally believe this storm was energized by demonic forces, against Jesus and His followers. It is odd that this raging storm should happen to them right before this demonic encounter in Gadara. Shalom❣️

Greetings from the UK ! Thank you both for all your efforts. Today is my father's first death anniversary, the grieving process still ain't over but today was a very lonely day for me. Your video not only educated me and showed me an awesome landmark - it brought me peace and comfort for my aching soul. You are right, ain't no storm mightier than my Jesus, He always calms the waves for me :D Much love and prayers, A long time subscriber

@MrTedious Sorry to hear about your Dad. Well done for reaching the first anniversary. My Mother has been dead for 39 years. You never ‘get over’ it, but you adapt as God brings provision into your life. Hope your Dad was a believer and that you’ll see him again in glory. God bless 💜

I am so sorry for your loss. Be gentle with yourself and give yourself ALL the time to grieve as you need. I still miss my mom, who would have been 95 yrs old today, on January 17th..... I know she is with Jesus, and happy. And I miss her.

I got so emotional with the message towards the end of this vlog. " Whatever our personal struggles that are too heavy to carry, if we believe in Him, we'll find peace. Be still" luv it! ❣️❣️❣️

Was a little nervous for Sergio & Rhoda because of the storm lol. But I'm glad they were safe. And would've been regardless since they weren't out at sea. Sergio is forever the adventurer. And I appreciate the greater perspective he and Rhoda gives us of scripture. Because I always wondered how the storm would be on that day with Jesus. With the desciples rightfully fearing for their lives. But the same Jesus who cast demons out of men, and brought Jarius' daughter to life pushing back death, is the one who calms the storm. Made me emotional thinking about. He is indeed worthy of our praise 😭🙌🏽🙏🏽

I'm Joan from Goa, i have been on the Holy land tour 8 years back, n been on the sea of galilee. We were on a boat out in the sea, music playing n we our group dancing. It was fun. Could picture the disciples with Jesus in the boat. I wish for another trip to Holy land. 🙏

Surf nerd here: waves are measured from their crest to trough. Their face draws from below, so they look larger on their face. A 4 foot face would be (estimated) a 2 foot wave. God bless you both.

@@emitch9213 seeing a boat doest have hands, arms or intelligence I'd imagine a boat has a tough time measuring. I'm sure there's a joke in there, I'm just not smart enough to see it.

Wow!! A hot spring.. how cool. I have a great story of when I was on the boat in the sea of Gallilee.. it was sunny and warm when we got on the boat.. then we heard thunder claps.. yup. The winds picked up..rain..dark clouds.. we were singing in the rain... by the time we got to the other side.. the rain stopped.. not one more drop of rain as we stepped off the boat.. so cool.

I love how you two give a context around what a storm on the Sea of Galilee means. Lakes like Lake Michigan act like a inland ocean, and whoa, Lake Michigan can have scary storms. It is so interesting to learn about why storms on the Sea of Galilee are so unusual. I LOVE this channel.
