Great video! Really. I have one question, why do you go down hills using the foot brake instead of engine braking? On my truck I'm in 1st, lift of the clutch and just coast down or uphill. The low gear is usually low enough to crawl downhill (you can add the exhaust brake for more braking) and it provides more traction to have all 8 wheels gripping instead of just stopping a "free roll" via braking (which puts a lot of stress on the brakes, makes them hot and replacing them is expensive). Just a tip, your truck is amazing. Enjoy!

Engine brake is normaly used for longer hills by most people

Just what I thought. Engage lockers, select the lowest gear and crawl down any hill with ease. This is really painful to watch. Someone please teach this man how to drive a truck! 😅

@@basstrom88 tatras are reliable as fk but i would be scared driving it in australia if something breaks youre done, im from slovakia and i am building a815 expedition truck, and i am not sure if i am going to go very far from here

Considering 813 does around 3,5 MPG, you have to have a deep pockets to use it as a recreational vehicle, let alone expedition.

Thinking exactly the same myself, plus as good a truck as it is, not very easy for alpine roads with hairpin bends.

it does about 5.6mpg (42l/100km) so its not that bad, but still deep pockets are needed

Schöner 8 x 8 Tatra - aber was soll das herum gekurve da am Strand und in dem massig herum liegenden Müll...? Dazu muss man wohl nicht erst bis nach Marokko fahren, dass kann man wohl schon in Usti nad Labem in der Nähe der Behausungen der Sinti & Roma haben... Von mir Daumen runter, für eine derartige sinnlose Dokumentation tschechischer Allradtechnik...!🤔👈👎👎👎
