Description:
Worked by making 2 monstera motifs, joining them and then creating the bottom.
Material:
5mm hook,
Worsted weight cotton or jute twine
I used Ice Yarn Macrame Cotton:

Abbreviations:
dc - Double Crochet
sc - Single Crochet
ch - chain
sts - Stitches
ss - Slip Stitch
sk - skip
Size Available:
5-6 inch pots - 71g or 100 yds
Gauge:
Work Round 1, it should be approx. 2.5 inches, +/- 1/4 inch os OK

I'm just finishing up with the chains. I decided to chain 71 and sc back in to them for extra strength. I used bernat home dec yarn, one in aqua and one in gold. Thank you for a wonderful pattern, even my honey likes them!

I just made a hanger and wung it starting with a flower, I added “vines” and “leaves”. It definitely came out pretty but I added one strap too many and although it works it’s not how it should be, but it works. Now I’m excited to make this, starting today, I love, love, love it!💜🙏🤘🏿💜

Your instructions are for advanced, as you don’t explain how to and crochet fast I know how to crochet but still need slower I instructions for the VISUAL. I’m bummed cuz love your design

I'm watching the video and I get to the part of making the bottom of the plant hanger and on the bottom of the hangers row 2 & after the last chain four, you "STATED" to join with a half double crochet but as I watch the video you do a double crochet, I've also purchased the pattern directions and it also says to do a half double crochet but as I stated earlier you do a double crochet in your video.... So is it a half double crochet or a double crochet? (Hope you understand the question?!)

i think it would be a half double crochet and she might’ve just done a dc accidentally. on round one you’re only joining to the chain, so you do a double crochet. then you do a single crochet, so doing a half double crochet join into the single crochet would make it equivalent to a double crochet, kinda like how generally startinf a round with 2 chains counts as a dc.

i know this is an old comment but what i did was to just simply make an extra leaf and change up a bit the way i did the eight round on them (1st one was the normal round, 2nd one was half normal/half stitching together with the 1st, 3rd one was stitching together 1 and 2) and then just repeat the bottom netting one more time on the extra leaf. i'm kind of a beginner/intermediate on crochet so there is probably an easier way to do this that didn't occur to me!

I’m having a hard time figuring out the size of the yarn you used. I’m trying to find comparable marcrame cord on Amazon since I don’t want to order from Ice, I tried using regular cotton but only did 1 strand to test out the pattern and halfway thru it’s clear you def need 2 strands or thicker yarn haha. Is the macrame cord you used 2mm or bigger? Looking online I’m thinking 2mm but I’m not sure….that dark green in the picture is a gorgeous one!

Hi I'm a little lost on round one. About 5 minutes in you say to work 14 double crochets and then slip stitch to join but there are only 5 loops left before I join. If I double crochet twice into each loop I'm still 4 double crochets short. Everyone else seems to have understood that part since the comments are all about their finished peices coming out great. This video is a little old so I don't know if you will reply but if you see this could you explain what you meant there?

You are not supposed to work into the chain loops, you work into the entire a ring
