Monsters At Work Season 2: Should Boo Return?

Күн бұрынToday I want to talk about whether or not I think we’ll ever see Boo return in a second season of Monsters At Work! We were told that Monsters At Work was going to show a Tylor Tuskman, a recent scare hirer from Monsters University, be forced to learn how to become a jokester, and now that’s happened. Through Tylor’s time with Val and MIFT he’s now on the Laugh Floor, and Monsters Inc has successfully switched over to laugh energy, so can the show even move forward at this point? Yes! And I want the creators to explore what happens when more monsters other than Sully and Mike make connections with children like Boo.

When at the end of episode when I figure out they were re-creating the end of the original film but in Tylor point of view I smile. Honestly that was a season finale.

Their are two things I want to see if a season 2 gets made. 1. obviously I want to see Boo return (I’ve wanted to see what happen after the door was re built since I first saw the movie) 2. Id like to see the Oozma Kappa gang again. I want to see if any of them are interested to become jokesters now.

You know what else, guys , I could imagine if there's an episode of Tylor seeing Waternoose in jail and ask him why did he keep the scream extractor in secret, I know his actor James Coburn died in 2002, but I can imagine if the master of impressions, Brian Hull can do Waternoose.

Not only do I agree with this, but here's something else I'd like them to explore in Season 2: I remember in the other Monsters at Work video you mentioned that Tyler's father would think this laughter business is just a phase. Another thing we heard in the season finale was that MI's competitor, Fear Co., was considering going back to the old ways. Well, let's expand on that: like I've stated before in the comments of said video, I'd like to think that Fear Co., its college Fear Tech, and Monsters' University are refusing this new idea and that there are still quite a few creatures out there who want things to go back to how they used to be. "We're MONSTERS for Pete's sake! We're not supposed to be funny, we're supposed to make kids cry out in terror!" Maybe this could even lead to Waternoose and Randall coming back seeking revenge on Mike and Sully for "ruining" the company.

I remember a long time ago, someone made a comment in a monster Inc video here in KZfaq. They made a story about the duo going through the door to find an old lady living in Boo's old room, they make their way around the world to find her until they realized that she was there all along. Going back to her old room, Sully and Mike meet up with Boo, who is now an old lady. It's sad, so sad and I believe this is the best ending to the series. Thank you random KZfaq commentor.

that was actually the original idea from an circle 7 animation who was at the time under disney but they went out of business and shut down in 2006. The name was called lost in scaradise

I feel like Monsters at Work could turn into a anthology series to continue the monster inc franchise. However, this idea definitely could work.

I wouldn't be too sure about having Boo appearing in Season 2 of _Monster's at Work_ cause it would defeat the purpose of the ending of _Monster's Inc.,_ because Sulley hasn't seen Boo in a while and only had a Piece of her door until Mike Wazowski rebuilt the door resulting in Sulley and Boo being reunited. Besides, we do see Boo again in _Kingdom Hearts III_ which is set after the events of the Monster's Inc. movie.

Mike rebuilding the door was during the season finale timeline. Epilogue took place at the same time as what happens with Tylor.

@@SharpDesign Oh okay, it's just that I thought the entire series was set before the epilogue of Monster's Inc. much like how all 3 seasons of Tangled the Series were set before the Tangled Ever After short. Still, if and I mean IF Boo is set to make an appearance in Monster's at Work they need to figure out how does she fit in a future episode of Monster's at Work, because ONLY Mike Wazowski and Sulley know about Boo and the rebuilt door being kept Secret not anyone else including the CDA, which Mike Wazowski did mentioned in KH3.

@@EChacon I like to think that Disney would like to write the Monsters inc stuff in KH3 off as non-canon for the purposes of wanting fans to experience the full scope of their reunion in real time... and to introduce a new redesign for Boo.

@@laurenceodell2718 Then again the story for Toy Story world in KH3 is also "canon" to the films. Having the Pixar worlds be told as original stories over the retelling of the movie is the only restriction/change I enjoyed cause it takes existing Pixar characters and create a brand new story exclusive to KH (a prequel, sequel, interquel) without creating an alternate version of the film with KH elements and Sora, Donald, and Goofy shoehorned into the plot having them feel out of place. I like that change. I mean Pixar is best know for their storytelling which is why the majority of their films (aside from Cars 1-3, Brave, The Good Dinosaur) received critical acclaim and I appreciate the work they've done as an animation studio, on top of that they were the ones who requested to Nomura and Square Enix for the Toy Story and Monster's Inc. worlds to be original stories in KH3.

The producers stated that Boo will not appear because her relationship with Sulley is too special but I would like to see Boo again at some point in the series.

We probably won't get it, but I low key wish they could cannonize Kingdom Hearts 3. We know the Toy Story one is cannon, but no one's said anything about MI. It would be a great test for them to see if they could make a Kingdom Hearts series on Disney+.

If Monsters at Work does get a season 2 I hope they do a Randall’s Revenge episode. I can see him manipulating Tylor and maybe convincing him that Monstropolis should revert back to scare power. I imagine that some monsters would disagree with switching to laugh power and it would have been nice to see how the monsters feel about using laugh power. Of course Randall would hate the idea of Monsters Inc. using laugh power and maybe form a group that supports scare energy in favor of laugh energy.

The way I see it, I think we should see a scene of Waternoose in prison and how he's dealing with the knowledge that his once proud scare company is now a comedy company producing more power than ever before.

Here are actually some things I would like to see in Season two (I heard there was gonna be one but I’m not sure) 1.Return of Boo, honestly again I think this would be so sweet and tear jerking to see boo and Sulley reunite 2.Possible return of Randall or Waternoose, Honestly I’d be fine with either one returning but I think it would have a good plotwist to it 3.Oozma Kappa Gang cameo, We haven’t seen them since the prequel to Monsters Inc but I think it would be awesome if they did add them in

Am I the only one who cried when Mike gave Snore the prized baseball??? That was so sweet! I would totally watch a season 2! I didn't like Tyler as much as others but he grew on me! It reminded me of a Three Musketeers kind of plot and I think it worked.

i feel if monsters get too involved with the kids there would be more likely adult run ins, perhaps caught on tape. The banished monster angle seems like a possibility, a monster having to sneak around the human world locating monsters banished to bring them back or find out what they know about something. Giving more info to the human side of how monsters are seen / remembered.Could even be a monster living on the human side teaching them door technology seen as a villan for the season

If Boo's coming back to the series then that's exciting I can't believe it and I thought at first she's not going to be in the series but all of a sudden she is

Of course she should it would be cool if she's 8 or 10 years old and a tomboy too and her parents die from covid and so Sully takes her in and bring her to the monster world to live with him forever and she never grows up she stays a child in the monster world because monsters in the monster world of Pixar all monster are imortal and so does eight year old or ten year old Boo that is what should happen in the sequel.

Boo is now ten and goes back to the monster world. Sally and Boo become close best friends. Boo is 18 now and moves out of her mother’s house and lives with Sally. Sally and Boo fall in love.

What if Boo grew up and now she’s the one coming trough the doors to present Mike and Sully her family ? She can even be introduced by scaring Mike and Sully like a monster would, she would do it just for the fun of it and it would show how she kept her inner child. It goes well with the Pixar theory since Boo in the theory, is the one who links the worlds together.

One thing I would like to see in a season 2 of Monsters at work is more episodes taking place outside of Monsters Inc because I personally think it's ridiculous that a power plant happens to have its own barber shop and bowling alley plus I would like to see more of these weird monster foods that we got in the show like rot dogs Snotchos and Drooler Cooler maybe something like Drool aid or pepperboni pizza I honestly found a lot of the food in the show having very creative names

i mean after seeing Boo return to them in the events in Kingdom Hearts 3. it wouldn’t seem like it would be that hard too hard to do. but we do seen Mike telling Sully to be cautious about people seeing Boo back in there world.
